That means your neighborhood child predator can take his 12-year-old (or younger) victim to Planned Parenthood, assuming she has had her first menstrual period, and get contraceptives or even sterilization free of charge, smoothing the way for continued and protracted child sexual abuse.

Illinois Rep. Jan Schakowsky is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee that has oversight over the Affordable Care Act. She says the HHS mandate was designed to “protect the health of women, women of all ages,” but said she was unaware that it mandated insurance policies provide free sterilization of teens.

As of August 1, all women of reproductive age—from menarche to menopause—are “entitled” to free sterilization and contraceptives under the mandate that also rips religious freedom away from employers who conscientiously object to such outrages. Certainly at 12 or younger, these girls don’t want or need contraceptives or sterilization, but those who prey upon them find comfort and convenience in being so easily (and affordably) able to cover up their horrifying crimes.
