The woman who nurtured the annual January pro-life march on Washington, D.C., from its beginning, and molded it into the largest annual pro-life event in the world, passed from this life over the weekend. She was 86 years old.

Nellie always stood firm against Planned Parenthood, and was a “no exceptions” pro-life stalwart from the beginning. “No exceptions, no compromise” were words that were ever on her lips.

May the angels carry her safely home, surrounded by all the innocents she worked so long and hard to protect. Millions will remember her rallying cry each time they step out on behalf of the preborn.
