Planned Parenthood network attempts to steamroll South Carolina parents

Keeping parents in the dark is one of Planned Parenthood’s hallmarks. Most parents are still unaware that this week there will be a hearing in the K-12 subcommittee of the South Carolina legislature on the so-called Healthy Youth Act (H3435) that would mandate only Planned Parenthood-style “safe sex” education for minors and vulnerable teens, certify only teachers who teach a specific list of programs, and make abstinence education programs illegal.

The South Carolina Healthy Family Formation Coalition (SCHFF) provides parents with a summary of the legislation that, if passed, “will make it legal and mandatory to teach middle and high school students how to practice mutual masturbation, make condoms fun and pleasurable, use dental dams for oral sex, help your partner keep an erection, and where to find contraception that aborts a pregnancy. All of this at taxpayer expense under the guise of pregnancy prevention.”

It is urgent that South Carolina parents contact their legislators immediately and insist that H3435 be killed. Use this website to make the contact today! Planned Parenthood has activated its network and they are making calls to legislators. It is critical that concerned parents call in record numbers to voice their disapproval.

SCHFF reported recently that the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, part of the Planned Parenthood Network, is sponsoring a workshop this summer entitled “They’ll just mess things up: How to keep parents out of Prevention!” Here is an excerpt from the workshop description on March 22, 2013, when the SCHFF article was written.

Although parents are the problem, experts argue for parental involvement. Come learn how to keep them away: Parent sessions on Christmas day! Flirting techniques to use on fathers in front of wives! Developing flyers nobody will read! Ten ways to make parents fail!

Since the workshop name and description were revealed by SCHHF, it appears it has been cleaned up somewhat. Still quite disturbing, it now reads:

They’ll Just Mess Things Up! Parents and Prevention

This presentation will highlight the complexities of working with parents and provide tools for effectively reaching them in prevention efforts.

H3435 was written, the family coalition says, by the Planned Parenthood Network (PPN)—an accurately descriptive name that the group defines as “entities that have gone on record as supporting the ‘safe sex’ programs listed on the Planned Parenthood website and/or opposing abstinence-until-marriage education.”

Mary McLellan, statewide chair of the South Carolina Healthy Family Formation Coalition, is at the forefront of fighting Planned Parenthood’s ideology-driven sex indoctrination programs, while speaking out in support of abstinence. She offers a series of articles entitled Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing that track the advance of Planned Parenthood-mandated sex programs into the state.

As Obamacare pours more and more money into forcing sex indoctrination on children in the name of sexual health, the Planned Parenthood Network cranks up its propaganda machine to warp speed to convince parents, teachers, and school administrators that its “comprehensive, safe-sex education” is the savior of our youth. It uses political clout, deception, and intimidation to ensure that its brand of sex education is adopted and enforced throughout the nation. Parents across the nation are facing similar battles. We must learn from one another and fight tooth and nail to eliminate Planned Parenthood-style sex education. Kudos to the South Carolina Healthy Family Formation Coalition and to all who stand with it in opposition to forcing warped sex indoctrination on our children.

Planned Parenthood fights high volume abortion facility over territory

Amy Cousins kills about 2,000 children annually by abortion at Southern Tier Women’s Service near Binghamton, New York, according to a recent Daily Star article. The director of the high-volume abortion facility claims that if Planned Parenthood brings its operations into the area and takes away even five abortions per week from her, it “would jeopardize our practice.” She went on to say, “We are basically pretty break-even.” The veracity of that claim is unlikely, to say the least.

Abortion is an extremely lucrative business. So lucrative, in fact, that abortion accounted for 57 percent of Planned Parenthood’s non-government clinic income in 2012. A web search reveals that the cost of a Dr. Cousins’ abortion at her center near Binghamton ranges from $480-540, meaning that at the bottom price, 2,000 abortions annually bring in $960,000—a lot of income for a business that appears to be a low overhead operation, judging from pictures of the interior.

The very public fight over abortion territory erupted when Planned Parenthood announced plans to plant a new branch in the area, following the disaffiliation of Planned Parenthood of South Central New York in March because it refused to compete with Cousins for abortions.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America issued a mandate in 2010 that, by 2013, every affiliate must have at least one facility that commits abortions. Its consortium of abortion providers has indicated it is working toward the goal of having all its facilities commit abortions. As the mandate kicks in, expect to see more and more turf wars between Planned Parenthood and its former allies over the big money generated by killing innocent children in the womb.

Filthy meat-market assembly line: Planned Parenthood abortions halted in Wilmington

A meat-market style of assembly line abortions. Operating tables smeared with bloody drainage not washed down between patients. Unsterilized instruments. The abortionist didn’t wear gloves. Patients at risk of getting hepatitis or AIDS because of unsanitary conditions. No routine health department inspections.

This was the scenario as described by two former nurses employed at Planned Parenthood’s Wilmington abortion facility. The two quit their jobs inside the facility to protect their nursing licenses.

The local ABC affiliate broke the story, showing Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich, one of the former PP nurses saying, “It was just unsafe. I couldn’t tell you how ridiculously unsafe it was. . . . Planned Parenthood needs to close its doors, it needs to be cleaned up, the staff needs to be trained.”

The news report revealed that the Delaware Department of Health does not do routine inspections and “Planned Parenthood is essentially in charge of inspecting itself.” The report shows Mary Peterson from the Delaware Department of Health and Human Services saying, “I am not going to lie to you, we don’t have the manpower to do routine inspections.”

“Since January 4, five patients allegedly have been rushed from the facility to the emergency room,” the news reporter said.

Planned Parenthood officials did not appear on camera but released a statement saying, “Ensuring high-quality care and maintaining the valued trust of our community is of the utmost importance.” Following its usual pattern, rather than taking the blame for any breach in ethical medical care, it threatened to fire “any employee who does not live up to [its] standards of patient care.”

The facility has, at least temporarily, halted surgical abortions.

The Wilmington, Delaware, ABC affiliate broke the Delaware Planned Parenthood horror story as ghastly testimony was emerging in the case of abortionist Kermit Gosnell, charged with the grisly murder of seven newborn babies born alive during the course of abortions, and the death of one woman who was allegedly sedated to death in his abortion facility in Pennsylvania.

Gosnell and his employees have admitted to severing the spinal cords of babies born alive—a process they called “snipping.” One of the infants “screamed like a little alien” after it was born, according to a Gosnell employee. One was so big that Gosnell joked it could walk him to the bus station.

Testimony has shown Gosnell stored the remains of infants in cat food containers and milk jugs. More than 40 aborted babies were stored in a freezer. He kept a collection of severed baby feet in jars in the office as well. Though not a Planned Parenthood facility, this, too, was a filthy abortion center where instruments were not sterilized, blood was not cleaned up, and women were treated with as much respect as pieces of meat in a slaughterhouse.

Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: Seeking those on the outskirts of existence

Four days before he was elected to the papacy, then-Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio said that the next pope must be one who will bring the Church out of itself and set the laity on the path of evangelization. According to a report by the National Catholic Register, the future pope pointed to what he called “ecclesiastical narcissism” as the Church’s fundamental illness, saying that when the Church looks inward on itself it becomes ill. “The next pope,” he stated, should be a man who, “from the contemplation of Jesus Christ and from worshipping Jesus Christ, will help the Church get out of herself and go to those on the outskirts of existence.” Indeed, this seems to have been Pope Francis’ mission since the moment he stepped onto the balcony and gave his first papal blessing.

In an April 15 homily, the Holy Father, in imitation of Christ on the cross, gave us our leader and our shield in bringing Christ to those on the outskirts of existence when he spoke of Our Lady, saying, “She is the mother who takes care of the Church. And in this time of martyrs, she is the protagonist, the protagonist of protection: She is the Mother. (...) Let us state with faith: Mother, the Church is under your protection: Care for the Church.”

Let’s take time to reflect on these words of Pope Francis and take them to heart. Let’s resolve to go, as the Church—as the Body of Christ—to those on the farthest outskirts of existence: Mothers and babies being led to slaughter at Planned Parenthood facilities across the nation. The children and teens whose innocence is being sacrificed at the hands of Planned Parenthood and its cohorts through twisted, explicit, immoral sex indoctrination. Parents who are being denied the right to know what their children are doing because of Planned Parenthood’s preeminent place at the head of the nanny state. Teachers who are being corrupted by Planned Parenthood’s incessant propaganda that tells them Planned Parenthood is a safety net for our children, rather than the chute to hell that it really is. All those marginalized, targeted, and deceived by Planned Parenthood.

As we go out to Planned Parenthood facilities, to the community, to every place where Planned Parenthood has built a stronghold for the culture of death, we will go under the mantle of Our Lady. We will bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood to vanquish the culture of death. We will work and rest in the knowledge that going to the outskirts of existence with the very protagonist of the Church by our side, we cannot fail in the work that God has placed before us—the task of ending the evil one’s grip on our children through Planned Parenthood.

The pope’s reminder brings us all the assurance we need to step out into the battle and bring the Church to the very gates of hell at Planned Parenthood: “We pray to Our Lady to protect us, and in times of spiritual turbulence the safest place is under the mantle of Our Lady.”

Waco Texas Planned Parenthood abandons sex program after years of community opposition

Once again, persistence has paid off, as Planned Parenthood announced last week that it is abandoning its Nobody’s Fool community sex program that has plagued Waco for decades. Kudos to Dr. John Pisciotta and the ALL Associate group he leads, Pro-Life Waco.

Here is the news release from Pro-Life Waco!

The 24-year controversial run of Nobody’s Fool has been terminated, according to an April 12 announcement from its creator, Planned Parenthood Waco. During its life, Nobody’s Fool was a one-day summer program marketed to children entering grades 5 through 9. The death notice was disclosed by KWTX-TV as a “program makeover.”

For many years, Pro-Life Waco worked to shine the light on Nobody’s Fool and Planned Parenthood Waco. The two hallmarks of Planned Parenthood in Waco and around the world are performing abortions and promoting anything-goes sex to adults and teens. (Pro-Life Waco has created a website titled plannedpromiscuity.com)

Strategies for the annual challenge to Nobody’s Fool included yard signs, billboards, letters to the editor, radio ads, and dozens of pro-lifers at the Waco Convention Center site for the event. Some held signs. Others counseled parents to turn away. This was frequently successful. In one case, a mom turned from her intended child drop-off to holding a sign in the demonstration.

In 2009, Pro-Life Waco first unveiled its iconic billboard truck at Nobody’s Fool. Nobody’s Fool was frequently the occasion of a press conference to expose some facet of the reality of Planned Parenthood. For the conference’s dying gasp for breath in 2012, Monica Cline of Cedar Park, Texas, held a press conference. Cline was a Nobody’s Fool instructor in 2008 and 2009 prior to her conversion.

The demise of Nobody’s Fool was not a total surprise, since the program has been on life support. Pro-Life Waco counted just 65 youths entering the Waco Convention Center in 2012. Planned Parenthood has claimed that past yearly attendance reached over 500.

The decline of Nobody’s Fool occurred while benefiting from “cheerleading” support from the Waco Tribune-Herald. For most of the years, the Waco Trib’s name was included as a program sponsor.

Pro-Life Waco director, John Pisciotta, hailed the termination choice, “Planned Parenthood’s true colors were revealed when it gave children attending Nobody’s Fool the abhorrent book It’s Perfectly Normal in 2003 and 2004.” Planned Parenthood Waco has also recommended to parents the vile website “Take Care Down There” from its sister affiliate in the state of Oregon.

The height of Nobody’s Fool tension came in 2004 when Pro-Life Waco launched a boycott of Girl Scout cookie sales. Waco’s Bluebonnet Girl Scout Council sponsored Nobody’s Fool for several years. In 2003, the Bluebonnet Council named the executive director of Planned Parenthood a “Woman of Distinction” to serve as a role model for girls. The boycott exploded into a national story, which resulted in features on NBC’s Today Show, FOX’s O’Reilly Factor, and other news and commentary programs. Cookie sales actually increased. However, following a two-week torrent of controversy, the local Girl Scout affiliate severed all ties with Planned Parenthood Waco.

Our hat is off once again to Pro-Life Waco for a job well done!
