Planned Parenthood passes out condoms to 11-year-olds

Protesters in Derry, New Hampshire made the Derry News last week. Their public witnessing drew the local media's attention and resulted in a story on them and Planned Parenthood. This story brought the truth out about Planned Parenthood. It was even titled, "Condoms for kids? Protesters say Planned Parenthood handing out birth control to junior high students."

Nationally, contraceptive sales are 55 percent of PP's clinic income. In 2006, Planned Parenthood received a total of $356.9 million from clinic income. This is an $11.8 million increase from the year before.

Planned Parenthood also receives over $300 million from taxpayers through government funding. Ann Larney, the New Hampshire Planned Parenthood public affairs director, seems to not even know about this fact or does not admit it here. ("She [Larney] is not sure where the protestors got the $300 million tax figure from.") Ms. Larney may want to check out PP's own records!

With all this money that Planned Parenthood has, it indoctrinates children with sexually explicit programs when they're young so they will go to PP's clinics and get contraception, and then these kids contract sexually transmitted diseases and even conceive children! Thus, more customers and more abortion business for PP.

David Costello, a pro-life protester, told the Derry News, "Some of these kids are 12 years old and they are going into the office and they are giving them condoms," he said. "To start being sexually active at 12 or 13 years old is ridiculous."

The sex education that Planned Parenthood offers is obviously working in its favor. Jeanette Dufour said that one day, while protesting there, "I met these boys, 11 years old, on their skateboards going to get condoms. He told me how old he was, and he had two condoms. One was for his 12th birthday, which he was going to use to celebrate."

When she asked him how many partners he would have before marriage, "he told her 15. When she asked him what he would do if his last partner, the one he married, couldn't have kids because of something like a previous abortion or an STD, the boy responded, 'I would never marry anyone who went to Planned Parenthood.'"

Apparently these young children have been brainwashed into going to these clinics, but in reality, they nonetheless know Planned Parenthood is not a good place.

Planned Parenthood offers adoptions? Don't be fooled!

Planned Parenthood in Merrillville, Indiana is in the news there, since it now also offers adoptions. Why do you suppose this would make the news? Is Planned Parenthood changing? Is Planned Parenthood beginning to see the importance of life and no longer offering abortions? No! The only reason PP is doing this is to attract positive publicity. It's a strategy similar to PP claiming that abortion comprises only a small part of its services, thereby implying that having committed 289,700 babies in one year is no big deal, since it offers so many other services.

This same facility that will be offering adoptions distributes birth control products that can cause early chemical abortions (see www.ThePillKills.com) and drugs such as mifepristone or methotrexate (RU-486), which starves the baby (who could be as old as seven weeks) to death. It is then followed with a second drug that causes contractions, and the mother gives birth to her dead baby.

What does PP say about medical abortions? Well, Planned Parenthood of Indiana's web site says, "Some women prefer medical abortion because it does not require anesthesia or surgery, can be performed early, there is less cramping than with surgery, and it allows for greater privacy."And on Planned Parenthood Federation of America's web site it says, "For most women, medication abortion is like an early miscarriage."

And please do not forget about the surgical abortions that Planned Parenthood in Merrillville commits. And yet PP of Indiana says, "Some women prefer surgical abortion because: the procedure is over quickly and most bleeding is done at the health center and not at home." Planned Parenthood kills preborn babies in Indiana that are as old as 13 weeks. A baby has facial expressions at this time; the baby already has fingernails, toenails and working taste buds. The baby's sex is also identifiable.

At the national level, Planned Parenthood kills 120 babies for every one baby referred for adoption. Don't let PP deceive you. It is an organization that is not to be trusted, even though it comes across as offering adoptions. Check your local pregnancy care center (www.pregnancycenters.org) for assistance - NOT Planned Parenthood.

Girls, Inc.: Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, bold and pro-abortion?

As parents, we need to be very careful about what types of programs and activities we allow our children to participate in. A program with a name such as "Girls, Inc." doesn't sound bad, does it? Actually, Girls, Inc. is a pro-abortion group and one of many pro-death groups that are listed on Life Decisions International's Boycott List (www.fightpp.org).

This organization, whose logo is "Inspiring All Girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold," will be teaming up with Planned Parenthood again.

PP will be holding a Girls, Inc. workshop for high school girls at the Planned Parenthood Heights Clinic, 100 W. Wicks Lane, Billings, Montana at the end of July. Planned Parenthood has teamed up with Girls, Inc. in the past for events ranging from sponsoring a National Sexuality Education Month to an annual Youth Women's Health conference to signing an ACLU- sponsored letter to Congress questioning abstinence-only sex education programs.

What can you do? Planned Parenthood is holding this weeklong workshop from Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 1. First of all, plan on protesting this event outside of the clinic – preferably before 1 p.m., since that is when each day session begins. Write letters to the editor and inform your community as to why Planned Parenthood and Girls, Inc. are not to be trusted. Also, always investigate these local programs or groups. On the outside, a group for young girls is presented positively to lure in new members, but after you do some research, you may find that these types of groups are linked to abortion and Planned Parenthood.

And lastly, contact Melissa at Planned Parenthood. The advertisement in the Billings Gazette lists Melissa and her phone number (406-869-5046). Call her up, and without using any offensive language, let her know how disgusted you are with PP's tactic of reaching out to young girls to bring more business into its facility.

Defeating government funding of Planned Parenthood – Part 5: Understanding the basic objective

This is Part 5 of our six-part series on how to defeat government funding of Planned Parenthood. To view the entire plan, visit: www.all.org/stopp/plan.htm.

Make sure your supporters understand that, although we want to win the vote, it is more important to proclaim the word of Jesus Christ!

Much of our discussion, to this point, has focused on how to count and influence votes. Any effort to defeat Planned Parenthood's funding is, of course, of a vote-getting nature. But, our effort is different from a lot of others. Although we will do whatever we can to try to win the vote, our main goal is to get out the truth about Planned Parenthood. To this end, you should encourage all your supporters to speak the truth and let the elected officials know the depth of feeling against Planned Parenthood. When there is a public hearing, your job is to get the people there and then to give the meeting to God. Let Him motivate speakers and let the Spirit speak through the people who go to the microphone. Let it be God's meeting, and you will be awestruck at what happens.

In essence, your job is finished when the public hearing takes place. Let God take care of the vote. If He wants you to win, you will. If He wants to keep the fight going because He has plans you never dreamed of, He will do that. Tell God you will accept His will, and you will never have a losing fight (even if the vote goes against you).

U.S. representatives call for defunding Planned Parenthood

On July 9, 11 members of Congress spoke out against Planned Parenthood and its abortion business from the House floor and called for an immediate cutoff of federal funding. In case you missed C-SPAN's coverage, we have it available for you in 11 separate videos on YouTube.

To view Congressman Chris Smith speak, click here. To view the other 10 members, including Reps. Michelle Bachmann, Jim Jordan, Bill Sali and Mike Pence, visit our Rock for Life's YouTube channel and click on any of the other 10 videos we have posted.

The following are quotes from their speeches.

"I rise today to highlight the practices of an industry that is characterized by death, deception and depression: the abortion industry," said Rep. Joseph Pitts of Pennsylvania. "The abortion industry is a billion-dollar business."

Indiana Rep. Mike Pence, who introduced the Pence Amendment last year, which would have prohibited PP from receiving any Title X money, said, "The largest abortion provider in America is the largest recipient of federal funding under Title X. Let's take decisive action to defund Planned Parenthood."

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan said, "Planned Parenthood is using your tax dollars to raise more money to run against your candidate, to elect someone who will give them more tax dollars." He explained how Planned Parenthood uses the money allocated to it through Title X funding to perpetuate its business agenda.

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann said, "Not only does this organization not pay taxes, like other businesses, but one-third of the hundreds of millions they get comes from tax dollars."

Idaho Rep. Bill Sali added, "An accounting gimmick masks the way Planned Parenthood uses federal dollars to fund its abortion services."

New Jersey Rep. Chris Smith, who called the Special Order, summarized the entire discussion by saying, "Abortion is big business, and it's destroying the next generation of Americans, and you and I, Mr. Speaker, are subsidizing it."

As a pro-life organization with a major focus on defeating Planned Parenthood and removing all taxpayer money from of the hands of this baby-killing organization, American Life League is happy to see these individuals speak up for the babies killed and the women wounded by abortion.

Last year, forty-five percent of the House voted against Planned Parenthood funding, and clearly the outpouring of sentiment against Planned Parenthood during the Special Order shows that members of Congress are beginning to understand how evil this organization truly is.

Report from Texas petition drive

Last month, we reported that South Texas STOPP was holding a petition drive at the Nueces County Courthouse to stop our tax dollars from going to Planned Parenthood. It was held July 7-11 and below is their report on how they did!

Dear Friends,

Just a small update on the petition drive this past week at the Nueces County Courthouse. The petition table and the large banner were positioned just inside the two main doors on the Lipan St. side of the courthouse. Volunteers passed out the flyer and asked people to sign the petition from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11.

The volunteers passed out over three thousand flyers to people coming to and going from the Nueces County Courthouse.

Almost 1,500 people signed the petition.

That surely must be a success, considering that most people that signed the petition knew very little about Planned Parenthood when they first arrived at the courthouse.

There was opposition to our efforts. The president of Planned Parenthood came to inform us that we were misleading in our presentation. When I read to her from Planned Parenthood's own "award winning web site", www.teenwire.com, she walked away.

The most powerful moment was when a petite, blue-eyed 17-year-old girl who attended Ray High School arrived, picked up a stack of our flyers and began to tell the people walking past in a strong, firm voice, "These people (Planned Parenthood of South Texas) came to my school and told us the nastiest things. You have to stop giving them money."

"What can we do?" the people asked?

"Sign this petition" the girl replied.

Streams of people came and did sign the petition.

This petition drive will continue at Our Lady of Perpetual Help the weekend of July 19 and 20 after all the Masses.

Please let us know if your parish or event wants to do the petition drive.

Let us pray that this movement will grow and that when it is time to present these petition names to the City Council, the Corpus Christi School Board and others that give Planned Parenthood our tax money, we will have more than 15,000 signatures.

Public officials must listen to the people and STOP giving our tax money to Planned Parenthood.

Thank you for all you do.

Therese

If you do not live in Corpus Christi, Texas and cannot sign their local petition to stop government funding for Planned Parenthood, then visit www.stopplannedparenthoodtaxfunding.com and sign the online petition.
