Students from the Shield of Roses pro-life group at Christendom College have been a mainstay outside the Planned Parenthood downtown abortion facility in Washington, D.C. for 12 years.

On October 27, they reached a new level of awesomeness when they brought more than 225 students to pray outside the facility.

According to a LifeSiteNews.com article:

Students wake up early on “Mega Shield” Saturdays to attend the 7:30 a.m. Mass, after which they load into private vehicles and college vans for the 75 mile drive to Washington. They arrive at the Planned Parenthood abortion facility at around 9:30 a.m. where they kneel on the grass in front of the clinic and pray four rosaries and a Chaplet of Divine Mercy, as well as sing some Marian hymns, before heading back to the college campus in Front Royal.

In addition to the large Mega Shield event each year, around 20 students show up at the Planned Parenthood facility every week during the school year to pray. Kudos to these committed students who Bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary. Their prayer presence, and that of others who join them, ensures that Planned Parenthood’s days are numbered.
