Of the 261 communities participating in the spring 2013 40 Days for Life campaign, 127 of them are centered around Planned Parenthood, the biggest abortion chain in the United States.

On Monday, which was day six of the spring 40 Days for Life 2013 campaign, it was reported that 47 babies have been saved from a cruel death. And those are just the ones the organizers know about! Many more have been saved that we may never know about.

The first lives were saved on Day 1, as we read in this report from St. Louis, Missouri:

“Through your prayers and the efforts of people just like you on the sidewalk we’ve seen three women leave the Planned Parenthood abortion facility today, not getting abortions,” said Brian, the 40 Days for Life coordinator in St. Louis—and that happened just in the first few hours of Day 1!

“One young couple walked right past the prayer volunteers and sidewalk counselor, but just 10 minutes later they walked out looking for some help,” he said. A counselor took a few minutes with them and found out she was pregnant. The young woman was, however, open to other options.

Brian said the counselor “was able to escort this young couple over to our friends at the mobile medical center right across the street to receive all the help they needed to choose life.”

In New York, 40 Days for Life participants are bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. in Spring Valley.

Through the night, prayer continues at the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, New York 10923.

Kudos to all those who are making tremendous sacrifices and saving lives by standing in constant vigil for the sake of their smallest, most defenseless brothers and sisters.
