In the last edition of the Wednesday STOPP Report, we shared the great news that four more Planned Parenthood facilities are scheduled for closure in Iowa. At least one of them—the Ft. Dodge facility—will close on December 12, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. These closures bring the number of Iowa closures over the past year and half to 10!

Des Moines resident Mary Purtle contacted us after the publication of the article to add that, in March of 2012, the pilgrim image of Our Lady of Guadalupe toured the state, making stops at Planned Parenthood facilities, churches, and parishioners’ homes all across Iowa. The pilgrim image is an exact four foot by six foot digital replica of the original miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe left on Juan Diego’s cloak in 1531. The miracle of Guadalupe was officially recognized by the Vatican in 1745.

The original image remains protected at Our Lady of Guadalupe Basilica in Mexico. Many miracles have been attributed to the original miraculous image, as well as the replicas that travel around the world.

Praise be to God for the gift of Our Lady who never fails us. To learn more about Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary, visit our website today!
