What Do We Do about Planned Parenthood?

The combination of the STOPP Facilities Report as well as the new Planned Parenthood Annual Report should give us much hope for the coming years.

Both reports show that Planned Parenthood is not a viable entity in the healthcare sector of the United States. It is continually closing its doors and moving out of communities. It is finding it very hard to attract new customers and has lost some 440,000 annual customers in just the last five years. Its medical business cannot survive this kind of attrition. PP is already out of two states (North Dakota and Wyoming) and has just one clinic left in three other states (Mississippi, Rhode Island, and West Virginia).

There is much political pressure on the organization and it has managed to keep its federal funding largely due to the support it has bought from two Republican senators—Murkowski of Alaska and Collins of Maine.

When Planned Parenthood president, Cecile Richards, was asked in an interview a few weeks ago what she was most looking forward to, she answered, “The 2018 elections.” We must understand that Planned Parenthood is a political animal and Richards and her predecessor, Gloria Feldt, have turned Planned Parenthood into a political machine. Providing medical services is what it does between elections.

The best way to fight Planned Parenthood in 2018 is at the local level. People who want to end the reign of terror from Planned Parenthood need to make their local communities their focal point this year. If you have one of Planned Parenthood’s 597 medical facilities in your town, now is the time to get it out. We here at American Life League’s STOPP program have been helping local people get Planned Parenthood out of their communities for over 30 years. We are ready to help you. Just e-mail Jim Sedlak at [email protected] and see what we can do for you.

No matter where you live, please understand that Planned Parenthood is seriously doing community organizing all across the country for just one reason—to win the 2018 elections in your town. Look at the five-year data of Planned Parenthood (stopp.org/pdfs/PPSTATS5YRS.pdf) and see where it is spending its money: 10 million dollars to engage communities, 21 million to strengthen and secure Planned Parenthood, and $75 million on movement building! All of this to get the right people elected to all levels of government in the 2018 elections.

Finally, 2018 has to be a year of education of the local communities all across America. People need to understand the threat Planned Parenthood poses to their children. We have trained a whole host of people to make presentations in your communities and to help you enlighten your fellow citizens on the true nature of Planned Parenthood. We need to be able to create and run television and radio ads exposing the truth about Planned Parenthood. We need to be at Town Hall meetings speaking up when Planned Parenthood’s lackeys are there trying to disrupt the meetings. Through American Life League’s 38 years of active work, we have contacts throughout America who are willing to help you spread the truth about Planned Parenthood.

Once people really understand the truth about Planned Parenthood, its donations will start drying up and its record income and profits will be a thing of the past. We’ve helped it happen in community after community for four decades and it can happen in your town. E-mail Jim Sedlak at [email protected] to learn how STOPP can help you. Let’s pull the rug out from under Planned Parenthood’s 2018 plans.
