David Daleiden is still fighting

In the midst of all the political turmoil and all the fronts on which Planned Parenthood is being opposed, let’s remember that David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress are still actively fighting against Planned Parenthood.

You will recall that David began releasing undercover videos of Planned Parenthood and its baby body parts business in July 2015. The videos had a major impact and inspired pro-lifers and pro-life politicians all across the country to focus on shutting down Planned Parenthood.

For many months, Planned Parenthood scrambled to recover from the initial shock of the videos and there were many lawsuits against the CMP folks. Most of the court cases were in California with its Planned Parenthood-friendly elected officials and judges. As part of a lawsuit filed by the National Abortion Federation, a pro-Planned Parenthood federal judge put gag orders in place and David was prohibited from releasing any more videos.

David is still fighting to be able to release what he describes as the most "damning and incriminating footage" documenting the baby body parts business. Recently there have been developments in the case which give some hope that those dozen videos may see the light of day.

The National Abortion Federation original lawsuit listed 11 complaints against David and other CMP personnel. However, over the last few months, the NAF has dropped seven of those complaints. In a recent conversation with David, we learned that all the complaints that had a federal government component have been dropped by NAF. Since the all remaining complaints do not involve any alleged federal wrong-doing, the federal court that issued the gag rule has no jurisdiction. David and his attorneys have filed motions to have the gag rule lifted and it may happen as early as October.

In a recent conference call with reporters, David said, "We're pressing for the entire thing to be dismissed. You could expect a solid dozen more videos really in the same vein as the original undercover videos.”

David also faces criminal charges from the state of California over his recordings and the use of fake names on credentials. David’s attorneys at the Thomas More Society recently revealed a twist in that case. This past Sunday, we received an e-mail from Tom Brejcha that revealed:

We've just learned that Planned Parenthood's lawyers met with the Attorney General (AG) of California in March 2016 – shortly before the AG's storm troopers raided David's home, seizing his videos, computers and more.

I don't believe in coincidences.

Especially when then AG Kamala Harris – now a sitting U.S. Senator and 2020 Democratic Presidential hopeful – is militantly pro-abortion and openly supports Planned Parenthood.

And I certainly don't believe the claims of the AG's Office that there were no notes, no memos, and no e-mails exchanged about this meeting – not before, not during and not right after.

That's why our Thomas More Society attorneys are planning to serve subpoenas on everyone who attended this clandestine meeting . . . which will mandate that everyone—including Kamala Harris, as well as her successor, Xavier Becerra—testify about it in court.

This hearing should take place, as scheduled just yesterday, on October 4th and 5th, in place of the previously scheduled probable-cause hearing in the California criminal court where David is still facing 15 felony charges.

. . . At issue now is nothing less than the very integrity of the criminal justice system in California, for these 15 felony charges brought against David are the only such charges we could find against journalists in California's entire legal history.

Please keep David and all the CMP individuals in your prayers and also pray for Tom Brejcha, Peter Breen, and the staff at the Thomas More Society as they continue to work tirelessly to reveal Planned Parenthood’s sordid business and to obtain justice for the pro-lifers involved.
