Planned Parenthood is an abortion business

Internet “fact checkers” are continually insisting that Planned Parenthood is NOT an abortion business. Planned Parenthood, for its part is doing everything in its power to prove that it is. The “fact checkers” either have an agenda (duh), or they are just ignorant.

Let’s just look at the “facts” from Planned Parenthood.

  • In 2018, it operated a record number of abortion centers—375.
  • Also, in 2018, it operated more abortion centers than the rest of the industry combined.
  • Planned Parenthood committed 345,672 abortions in 2018—its largest annual body count in its history.
  • In 2019, Planned Parenthood added 18 more abortion centers across the country.
  • In 2020, during the pandemic, it closed some non-abortion facilities, but fought in court to keep its killing centers open.
  • As the country begins to move to Phase 1 of the recovery, Planned Parenthood boldly announces it will have eight new abortion centers in six weeks.

The first of these new abortion facilities is in Waukegan, Illinois, where Planned Parenthood opened an 18,024 square-foot mega-abortion center last week. Planned Parenthood of Illinois’ website says it will do both surgical (in clinic) and medication abortions in Waukegan.

According to a Planned Parenthood press release, the Waukegan Health Center, 1601 N Lewis Ave, becomes PPIL's newest Mission Site, joining six other health centers strategically chosen to meet growing patient needs statewide. Waukegan is the 30th mega-abortion facility opened by the Planned Parenthood Federation and the fourth in the state of Illinois.

Planned Parenthood, itself, revealed that the ability to commit abortions on both Illinois and Wisconsin mothers was a “critical factor” is establishing this particular center. ALL’s associate group, Pro-Life Wisconsin, reports that Jennifer Welch, the president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Illinois, said in a statement that “the proximity to Wisconsin — a state that poses stringent legal barriers to abortion — was a critical factor in choosing the location.”

Last week, another Planned Parenthood affiliate—Planned Parenthood of Michigan—made a major announcement in the expansion of its abortion business. The announcement came as part of an article in Between the Lines, a project of PrideSource. The article was about Planned Parenthood’s “ability to adapt swiftly in times of crisis.” Specifically, it concerned telemedicine abortions and how quickly Planned Parenthood in Michigan has implemented this killing method during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the article, Lori Carpentier, Planned Parenthood of Michigan president and CEO, described Planned Parenthood’s rapid expansion of access to medication abortion via telemedicine in the last few months. Carpentier said, “The original plan was to roll that out in our nine centers that were presently offering medication abortion in the center over the next nine months or so, with about one a month. But instead … once the COVID virus hit, one of the first things we did was to accelerate that with some group training … and we rolled it out in about 10 days instead.”

The article reported that the rest of the Planned Parenthood Michigan health centers that had not offered medication abortion services would be offering it both in person and via telemedicine within the next six weeks. If that happens, it will mean an additional seven killing centers in Michigan by June!

If all that happens, it will result in Planned Parenthood Michigan becoming the 12th affiliate of Planned Parenthood Federation of America to commit surgical or medication abortions at every one of its centers.

The social media “fact checkers” can say what they want, but the facts are that Planned Parenthood is primarily focused on abortions. It is occurring all across the country. Planned Parenthood Keystone (in Pennsylvania) defied government orders to shut down and said it would continue operations “for abortion services only” but suspended all other in-person services.

Planned Parenthood’s slogan should be “A dead baby. No matter what.”
