PP calls for PP health care for every community

If you think Planned Parenthood doesn’t have a huge amount to gain from the proposed health care reform, take a look at its web site.

There you will find pictures of abortion supporters holding pink signs and wearing pink T- shirts, emblazoned with “Planned Parenthood Health Care for Every Community.”

The web site features the call to action on the home page: “Pass Health Care Reform – Stop Stupak.”

The abortion giant is issuing a call to its supporters to descend on Washington, D.C. December 2 to lobby senators to ensure that child-killing by abortion is a covered benefit in health care reform.

The New York Times quotes PP’s president: “We have seen money coming in at every level,” said Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood, which is also patching calls into lawmakers’ offices in several states. “Congressman Stupak managed to crystallize this movement in a way that is hard to replicate.”

As the debate moves now to the Senate, Senator Harry Reid’s bill authorizes abortion supporter Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of Health and Human Service, to authorize the federal funding of elective abortions, and provides subsidies for those who obtain private insurance that covers abortion.

Catholic college and CCHD-funded group hosted PP speaker

American Life League,Reform CCHD Now and Bellarmine Veritas Ministry have been at the forefront of exposing the Catholic Campaign for Human Development’s funding of groups that act in defiance of Catholic Church teaching.

A case in point is the CCHD-funded group Women in Transition. In July 2009, WIT joined forces with Spalding University to co-host a conference featuring Planned Parenthood employee Mary Wallace. Wallace led a strategy session and workshop entitled “It begins with me. Confronting reproductive health issues.”

Spalding, by the way, is a Catholic university. On November 20, 2009, four months after the presentation, the USCCB issued a press release referring to WIT as “a CCHD-funded group in Louisville which runs a skills-building program and organizes around issues like affordable housing.”

PP program at Virginia Commonwealth University is outrageous

The headline of the Commonwealth Times, the independent student newspaper of Virginia Commonwealth University, was intentionally suggestive: “Sex talk arouses student interest, questions.”

The article described “Voices of Planned Parenthood’s sex talk live discussion” that took place at the University Student Commons. “Students discussed topics ranging from tighty whities, [perverse] sex and vibrators,” the article said.

Passing on advice espoused in a recent YouTube video by PPFA’s vice president for medical affairs, Vanessa Cullins, students in attendance were advised to talk about sex. “If I’m going to get naked with you and do things with you, I hope I can at least talk to you about the fact that we’re getting naked and doing things together,” said Shawn McNulty, Fan Free Clinic’s director of health outreach.

How much longer will we, the taxpayers, tolerate our money being shelled out to PP and public universities for perpetrating such open assaults on the decency and morality of our young people? STOPP has a proven plan for defeating PP, which includes defeating government funding of PP. Please, read the plan today and begin to implement it in your local community. It is only through intervention on the local level that much of this funding can be stopped. The hour is now, and the person to do the job is you. Don’t wait another day. Please, for the sake of our children, teens and young adults, step up to the plate and take a leadership role in defeating taxpayer funding for PP.

Washington, D.C., in January: ALL's Training and Activism Week

If you have ever come to Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life and other activities surrounding the anniversary of the dreadful Roe v. Wade decision that decriminalized abortion, you know how exhilarating and edifying it is to join with hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates in our nation’s capital, to demand that our voices be heard on behalf of our tiniest brothers and sisters – 51 million of whom have been slaughtered by abortion since 1973.

At American Life League, we are gearing up for our 10th annual Training and Activism Week, slated for January 20–23 at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C. Come let your voice be heard on behalf of the preborn!

If you are involved in fighting PP or want to become involved, you need to be at this conference.

Hear American Life League executive director Shaun Kenney; Jim Sedlak, founder of STOP Planned Parenthood; Rita Diller, national director of STOPP; Michael Hichborn, the ALL researcher who spearheaded efforts to expose CCHD-funded groups acting in defiance of Church teaching; and a host of other highly experienced pro-life warriors.

Special guest speakers include Deal Hudson, Jill Stanek, Rev. Johnny Hunter, Dr. Dianne Irving, and many more. The Pro-Life Blog Awards will be one of the highlights of the week, as ALL recognizes those who are at the forefront of bringing attention to the plight of the preborn.

Join Rock for Life’s Erik Whittington, Jeff McLain and Kortney Blythe as they lead inspirational workshops and provide fuel to propel the upcoming generation toward unparalleled involvement in pro-life activism. There are also free concerts Thursday and Friday night that are sure to inspire.

Registration for the conference is absolutely free, but you must register soon in order to ensure your place.

A limited number of hotel rooms are still available on site at a cost of $50 per night per person, with a minimum of four people in a room. As the March for Life approaches, hotel accommodations will be at a premium. Act now! For more information and online registration, visit

Komen for the Cure, the AARP, Lions Clubs, the American Cancer Society, Camp Fire Girls, Girl Scouts, Kiwanis Clubs, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Rotary Clubs, the YWCA and the YMCA, being tied to PP, either through donations or joint programs.

Pro-lifers in Abilene, Texas, launch permanent prayer vigil

Inspired by the success of their 40 Days for Life vigil, West Texans for Life have launched a permanent prayer presence outside Planned Parenthood in Abilene.

Interestingly, one of their protest signs quotes PP itself, circa 1963: “An abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun.”

Congratulations to Dr. Jim Sulliman, cofounder of West Texans for Life, and all the dedicated pro-life advocates who stand in solidarity with our smallest brothers and sisters outside the Abilene PP killing center.
