The World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides hosted a panel this week where Planned Parenthood was allowed to hand out a brochure encouraging girls to “talk dirty” to their sex partners, to engage in aberrant sex, and claiming there is no right or wrong way to have sex. The no-parents-invited Girl Scout panel was a part of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
The brochure, published by International Planned Parenthood Association and entitled “Healthy, Happy and Hot,” says that young people living with HIV have the “right to sexual pleasure” and “have the right to decide if, when and how to disclose their HIV status.” It goes on to say that laws requiring young people to disclose their HIV status to sexual partners “violate the rights of people living with HIV by forcing them to disclose or face the possibility of criminal charges,” and tells them to complain about any agency that tells them they should not have sex, and to shop around for a place where they feel more respected.
According to the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute:
The Girl Scouts…have been co-moderating a young women’s caucus that included an “Intergenerational Conversation” side event on “universal access” and “reproductive health.” One recent Girl Scout project “aims at securing the right of women, men and adolescents aged between ten and twenty-five, to better reproductive and sexual health.”
Planned Parenthood hijacks St. Patrick's Day

PP, the organization supported by hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars, never misses the opportunity to warp a Christian holiday.
Planned Parenthood of the Heartland claims on its web site that St. Patrick’s Day is the most romantic holiday, because green is worn on St. Patrick’s Day, symbolizing fertility, and it claims the color “can have aphrodisiac powers (like Ms. Green M&M – her seductive eyelashes and heels prove they ‘melt in your mouth; not in your hand’).”
PP’s advice for an appropriate way to celebrate the feast day of this revered saint? “[G]rab a cute ‘kiss me I’m Irish’ T-shirt, some green Mardi Gras beads and a handful of green condoms and celebrate the most romantic holiday … St. Patty’s!”
Exposing PP in Your Community: Honk for Life!

Exposing PP in your community is a weekly feature of the WSR, written by Rita Diller, STOPP’s national director and former diocesan director of Respect Life Ministries for the Amarillo Diocese. Rita and Bishop John W. Yanta conducted a focused 12-year prayer and education campaign in the Amarillo area, which culminated in the closure of 18 PP facilities and the disaffiliation of the remaining two from Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
Of the many great signs that can be held at Planned Parenthood facilities and fundraisers, one stands out in its effectiveness. The sign is homemade and the message is simple: “Honk for Life.”
The “Honk for Life” sign makes your prayer vigil very interactive. Suddenly passersby have a way of participating actively in stopping Planned Parenthood.
What can a honk do? First of all, it works as a public barometer. It lets you measure the enthusiasm level of the community toward stopping abortion. The first year we used it, a teenage girl stood near the road holding the sign, smiling and waving, and she counted more than 60 honks per hour; at least one a minute!
That is obviously a morale booster for those on the sidewalk. But the best part is what happens inside the Planned Parenthood or other abortion facility when they hear all that honking. They realize that all those honks are signs of disdain for the evil work that is going on inside the facility, and it is a continual reminder to them that what they are doing is wrong. It works as a call to conversion for those working inside the facility and for those seeking abortions. Abortion workers have admitted that the constant honking troubles them greatly. A prime example is this reflection by a New York PP CEO, admitting how the honking makes it impossible for her to concentrate on the business at hand.
If you don’t have at least one Honk for Life sign at your Planned Parenthood prayer vigil, get out the poster board and markers. It’s time to become interactive.

PP building another stealth abortion facility

40 Days for Life is in full swing in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The location is unusual. It is at the site of a Planned Parenthood facility that has no Planned Parenthood sign and is not yet open. But it is the perfect place for a 40 Days for Life vigil.
The permit to build the 13,000 square foot facility was obtained without mentioning the name of Planned Parenthood or the fact that it will be the shame of Virginia Beach, a site where PP plans to slaughter thousands of preborn babies. Instead, the purpose of the building was listed as a health clinic. And this “health clinic” is being built in the heart of a Black neighborhood!
The neighboring business owners and homeowners never had a chance to object to this killing chamber being built at their own front door, and they are livid. Hampton Roads for Life has formed a coalition encompassing 39 churches to date that object to Planned Parenthood’s presence in Virginia Beach and the surrounding communities, and petitions are being circulated that will go to the City Council and mayor.
The 40 Days for Life vigil has served notice on the neighbors and the general public that Planned Parenthood is sneaking into this minority community to kill minority babies. The construction workers continue to be greatly impacted by the presence of peaceful, prayerful pro-lifers who greet them every hour of every workday with signs reminding them that abortion kills children.
STOPP’s national director traveled recently to Virginia Beach to lead a strategy session for local pro-lifers who are working diligently to stop the opening of the PP facility. A strategy was laid out and is now being implemented to build a solid wall of resistance to Planned Parenthood. Kudos to the pro-lifers in the Virginia Beach area who are pulling out all the stops to STOP Planned Parenthood.
PP closes Franklin, IN, facility following years of pro-life activism

As it promised it would in September of 2009, PP of Indiana has shut down its Franklin facility.
Tony Eichhold reports from Franklin that Jim Sedlak, founder of STOPP, visited nearby Greenwood, Indiana, where he gave a presentation at Our Lady’s Church, and that on-site prayer vigils began at the Franklin PP facility in the early 2000s. The vigils took place on the first Saturday of every month for eight or nine years, with three to eight people commonly in attendance. The group prayed the Rosary, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and prayers from the prayerbook “In the Palm of His Hand.”
Tony faxed a picture, taken on February 27 of this year, of the empty building with a “For Lease” sign in the window.
Congratulations to those pro-lifers who stood their ground year after year in opposition to PP in Franklin, and to the new ones who joined in along the way to oppose Planned Parenthood. STOPP is pleased to have been a part of the opposition to this PP facility that ended in its closure!
