Planned Parenthood's aggressive programs result in unprecedented, irreversible population aging

Rather than saving taxpayer money through its aggressive contraception and abortion programs worldwide as it continually claims, Planned Parenthood and its cohorts are leading the world into utter economic ruin.

Through the leadership of Planned Parenthood, almost half the countries in the world are facing what has come to be known as demographic winter, where fertility rates have fallen so dramatically that populations are rapidly aging.

All developed nations are below the fertility rate needed to maintain replacement of their population, and the development of poor nations is being stymied by the loss of their most valuable resource: people.

Historically, world population has been pyramidal, with a broad base of young workers at the bottom to support the aging population at the top. When the population pyramid reverses because a society reaches below replacement level fertility, there will not be enough younger people to support the aging population or to sustain the economy, resulting in eventual economic collapse.

A UN report entitled World Population Ageing 2009 rings the alarm about the consequences of below replacement level fertility, saying that:

* Population ageing results mainly from reductions of fertility that have become virtually universal. The resulting slowdown in the growth of the number of children coupled with the steady increase in the number of older persons has a direct bearing on both the intergenerational and intragenerational equity and solidarity that are the foundations of society.
* Population ageing is unprecedented, a process without parallel in the history of humanity.
* Population ageing is pervasive since it is affecting nearly all the countries of the world. Population ageing is profound, having major consequences and implications for all facets of human life. In the economic area, population ageing will have an impact on economic growth, savings, investment, consumption, labour markets, pensions, taxation and intergenerational transfers.
* At the world level, the number of older persons is expected to exceed the number of children for the first time in 2045. In the more developed regions, where population ageing is far advanced, the number of children dropped below that of older persons in 1998.
* By mid-century, the developing world is likely to reach the same stage in the process of population ageing that the developed world is already at.
* Because fertility levels are unlikely to rise again to the high levels common in the past, population ageing is irreversible and the young populations that were common until recently are likely to become rare over the course of the twenty-first century.

At a UN panel last month, a U.S. delegate railed against "resistance to acknowledging access to family planning as a necessity," while a delegate from St. Lucia implored, "How do we get our fertility rate to rise? We were told we needed to reduce our fertility rate - now we have an aging population." Aid to foreign countries is often predicated on coercing them to place Planned Parenthood style "family planning" at the top of their priority list.

It's a safe bet that once the population pyramid is upside down worldwide, PP will turn its attention to eliminating the inconvenient elderly. After all, generations that have allowed their own children to be aborted and contracepted out of this world should expect that they will be eliminated by the children they have schooled in the culture of death.

Let's shout the truth from the mountaintops! It is time to defund Planned Parenthood totally and completely now! The survival of mankind hinges on generous parents raising generous children, who will in turn be generous in giving life and love. Enough of giving our money to the organization that merrily leads the way down the slippery slope to death and the demise of society as we know it!

Our web site, www.stopp.org, holds a wealth of information on defunding Planned Parenthood. Visit us today.

State level legislative efforts threaten Planned Parenthood

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) political action center beams the distress signal: "The 2010 elections dramatically changed state legislatures and governors' offices nationwide, causing a wave of efforts to restrict women's health care... According to the Guttmacher Institute, 56 percent of the state bills regarding reproductive health introduced this year seek to restrict abortion access, up from 38 percent last year."

At the top of PPFA's "states to watch" list on defunding efforts are Indiana and Kansas, where defunding legislation has already been enacted.

PPFA research reflects 17 Indiana bills put forth in this legislative cycle that threaten the abortion giant, ranging from defunding Planned Parenthood to defining fertilization as the beginning of life, and prohibition of abortion.

We recently reported on Indiana legislation that takes some funding from Planned Parenthood. This week Kansas enacted legislation that places Planned Parenthood at the bottom of the priority list for Title X funding and puts restrictions on insurance coverage of abortion. Governor Brownback also signed legislation that requires licensing and regulation of abortion facilities by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. It requires inspections twice a year.

Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Texas round out PPFA's list of states to watch on defunding, and it urges its supporters to align with Planned Parenthood in their states to stop the defunding efforts.

It is critical that we outnumber PP supporters in our outcry to legislators, demanding that Planned Parenthood be totally defunded. If you live in one of the states listed above, please contact your legislators. If you live in another state, it is not too late to start crafting legislation to advance in the next legislative session. Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: The Pill Kills Dallas Seminar and public witness

When STOPP International and STOPP of Dallas gather participants at the Planned Parenthood facility at 9643 Ferndale in Dallas on June 4 for our public witness against the pill, Our Lady of Guadalupe will be leading the way.

Our campaign to Bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary sits at the top of our priority list. Why?

In Romans 12:6 we read: "We have different gifts, according to the grace given us." Since the angel in the Bible reveals that Mary was "full of grace," she was given extraordinary gifts from God. In this campaign, we call upon Mary to use those gifts to put an end to the reign of terror that is Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood has built its evil billion-dollar empire on contraceptives and abortion. Remember on June 4 to join us by protesting the pill in your community. And don't forget to take Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary.

"O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life..." - Pope John Paul II

Every prayer on the sidewalk at Planned Parenthood is a victory

I just received an e-mail from Jeanne, who had been on the sidewalk at Planned Parenthood in Madison, WI. It was a tough day out there, and she recounted how she had spoken with a man who brought the mother of his fifth child for an abortion, and went through with it, after Jeanne's pleas for the child's life failed. Then a mom who had just aborted her child came out of the facility, and when Jeanne offered help, she was dismissed by a woman who was possibly the child's grandmother with a string of expletives.

Jeanne was not deterred. "Planned Parenthood -- what a place," she said. "How can anyone allow such an entity to exist? It is beyond belief. But I wanted to go back soon, and try again, hopefully tomorrow, to see Jesus in His distressing disguise in these people, and pray for, and offer help to, them. God works in mysterious ways. He makes good come out of even Planned Parenthood's intended evil."

And Jeanne is so right. There is never a time that we go to pray at Planned Parenthood that God does not use our prayers to effect some profound good. We may never know how much good our prayers have accomplished, but we can rest assured that the simple act of stepping out in faith to speak for those who have no voice will resonate throughout eternity.
