Lurking in the shadows: Planned Parenthood ‘rights’ destroy society

It should come as no surprise to anyone that there now arises a cry for contraception and other “sexual rights” to be recognized, provided, and enforced as basic human rights. Today’s orchestrated efforts by International Planned Parenthood Federation, the United Nations Population Fund, and their many allies to proclaim and enforce “sexual rights” as basic human rights is a continuation of an ongoing plan to restructure the family that emerged almost a century ago.

Over a period of 96 years, Planned Parenthood has persistently hammered away to convince courts, governments, and the United Nations to grant “rights” that are diametrically opposed to the good of mankind. Its persistence and insatiable appetite for more power and money are throwing the whole of creation off kilter. Catholic cardinal John Njue of Kenya has astutely pointed out that proposed “family planning” programs in Africa could “lead to destruction of the human society and by extension the human race.”

At the dawn of the 20th century, Planned Parenthood and its allies set out to recreate the center of God’s creation—the family—moving to enshrine a me-centered philosophy by weaving contraception into the fabric of America as a “right.”

By 1965, it had succeeded. Estelle Griswold, executive director of Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, sued the state after she was arrested and fined for flagrantly violating the law by distributing contraceptives. Her case went all the way to the Supreme Court.

In Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), the Supreme Court established in law that a broad, undefined, unwritten “right to privacy” existed that rendered laws restricting birth control within marriage invalid. The majority opinion admitted that the newfound Constitutional “right” was not written specifically in the Constitution, but said it was found lurking in the shadows, or “penumbra,” of the Constitution. In 1972, the Supreme Court decided in Eisenstadt v. Baird that the same right must be extended to unmarried people as well.

This implied right to privacy was not a new idea, but a reiteration of a theory proposed in the 1961 Supreme Court case Poe v. Ullman. The court refused to hear the case, saying that since no one had been prosecuted because of the law restricting contraceptives, there was no case to be heard. In that case, however, Justice John Marshall Harlan II said in his dissenting opinion that the case should have been tried rather than dismissed. He went on to say that the due process clause of the Constitution is not limited to the rights specifically set out in the Constitution. Rather, he said, it implies “a rational continuum which, broadly speaking, includes a freedom from all substantial arbitrary impositions and purposeless restraints.” Based on his interpretation of the due process clause, Harlan concluded that the Connecticut statute violated the Constitution.

This so-called “rational continuum” of the due process clause, now enshrined in law as a result of Planned Parenthood’s Griswold case, has opened the floodgates to unleash an irrational continuum of death and destruction for our families, our nation, and the world.

Griswold was step one in an earthshaking, family-shattering, epic battle that pits women against their children, spouses against God and one another, and opens the door for men to treat women as nothing more than objects to be used for sexual gratification.

Only eight years after the Griswold decision came Roe v. Wade, declaring the killing of innocent babies by abortion (termination) a right. In invalidating laws prohibiting abortion, Roe cited the same right to privacy that was found lurking in those dark shadows of the Constitution and proclaimed by the Supreme Court in Griswold.

In 2003, Lawrence v. Texas relied on Griswold’s right to privacy in striking down sodomy laws. At that time, homosexual activities were viewed as anathema. Following Lawrence and the extension of the right to privacy over such acts, homosexuality is now glorified and same-sex marriage is being legalized, state by state, while heterosexual marriage is quickly becoming an institution of the past.

The Book of Genesis recounts God’s plan:

God said, “Let us make man in our own image, in the image and likeness of ourselves.” . . . God created man in the image of himself, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them. God blessed them, saying to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.”

But Satan, lurking in the shadows of the orderly world God created, tempted the woman. She, in turn, tricked the man into complicity; evil set up shop between man and woman and then began to bear its rancid fruit on the earth.

The sexual spiral has reached frenzy level in our time. Planned Parenthood’s partnership with the government strips religious freedom by imposing the abortion chain’s agenda on taxpayers, who are forced to pay for insurance that provides abortive contraceptives free of charge. As a right.

Appealing to women’s desire to make a better life for their families, the most anti-woman movement in America unfolds with fascist force, wrapped in a cloak of “rights” that are undeniably wrong.

Planned Parenthood is the visible head of the culture of death. It must be stopped. Its empire is built on lies that we must debunk, shouting the truth from the mountaintops. It is fueled by $1.3 million tax dollars daily. We must tirelessly work to defund it. Hearts must be changed through prayer, fasting, and education.

Planned Parenthood video shows teens how to put on makeup to cover up a beating

Planned Parenthood’s Info for Teens Facebook page is at it again. This time it is with a video that shows how to cover up those nasty cuts and bruises that result from a beating.

The lead-in to the video says, “A recent study showed that almost one in 10 high school students has been hit, slapped, or physically hurt on purpose by a boyfriend of girlfriend in the last 12 months.”

The link to the video bears the headline: “How to look your best the morning after.” It appears beside the picture of an obviously badly beaten young lady.

The video on the August 19 post begins with a shot of the underside of the young lady’s chin that has abrasions, then flashes to a full view of her face where she sports a split lip, a gash on the bridge of her nose, and very bad bruising around her left eye.

“I’ve had a bit of a rough time,” she says, “but I’m going to be doing a video today on how to cover up.” She then demonstrates how to apply makeup to cover up the evidence of the abuse.

“If you’ve got a lot of bruising from being pushed hard against a coffee table,” she says, “you can gently apply layer after layer, and you will cover it up slightly.”

“You might want to put concealer on over any splits that are caused from watches or rings,” she says, as she tries to hide the gash in her lip.

“If you’ve got some bruisin’ from a jealous type of partner,” she says as she signals a choking motion with her hand at neck level, “you can always just put your hair down to the side. If it’s not long enough, don’t worry because a scarf is ideal for this. So I’m going to be using a scarf, so you can kind of hide and cover it up. So that’s perfect like that.”

Suddenly the young lady hears a noise, looks to the side with shock, then turns off the camera.

After spending all but the last 10 seconds of the video showing teens how to cover up the marks left by abuse, text appears advising that 65 percent of women who suffer domestic violence keep it hidden. “Don’t cover it up,” the video says.

The video is from a legitimate organization in the UK that fights domestic violence. But the way Planned Parenthood headlines it—with “How to look your best the morning after,” teens are mislead by Planned Parenthood into the cover up mentality. On the anti-domestic violence site, the video is introduced with the headline: “Don’t cover it up.” That headline makes a world of difference to young teens who run across the video.

Planned Parenthood promotes all sorts of aberrant, dangerous sex to teens. In 2011, Planned Parenthood of Upper Hudson required teens as young as 13 applying for its S.T.A.R.S. peer educator program to attend Capital Pride, a gay parade. Children attending the parade were exposed to dangerous, deviant behavior, including scantily clad people on parade, engaged in bondage and other sado-masochistic behavior—behavior which could easily result in the kinds of bruises and marks the young lady in the video suffered.

Planned Parenthood sex ed programs give students the option of placing themselves in vulnerable, dangerous positions so long as they ‘”protect” themselves from pregnancy and STDs, rather than advising them to avoid these situations entirely, again setting them up to be victims of violence.

Is Planned Parenthood in your school system influencing your children? If it is not, you can bet its staff members are at the door working as hard as they can to get in. Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: National night of prayer for life, December 8 and 9

Pro-life advocates throughout the nation will be praying for an end to Planned Parenthood the night of December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and the early morning hours of December 9, the Feast of St. Juan Diego.

According to National Night of Prayer for Life organizers:

It was on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (then celebrated on December 9) that Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas and the unborn, first appeared to St. Juan Diego. The National Night of Prayer for Life bridges these two feasts to honor Our Blessed Mother and prays through Her intercession for the establishment of a culture of life, protection for the Church from persecution, and asks Our Lord to REVIVE OUR LAND. All are invited to participate!

We ask each parish to join in praying on this holy occasion.

During the HOUR OF UNITY, 12 Midnight – 1AM EST., we will be united in churches across the country in prayer to end abortion and to restore God’s blessings of Life and Religious Liberty in America.

The National Night of Prayer for Life is a prayer service consisting of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the holy Rosary, prayer to St. Michael, silent prayer, and hymns. Contact your local priests, right to life Organizations, Knights of Columbus, and all other parish groups, and inform your friends and family across the nation.

Check with your local parish or pro-life group to see whether a vigil has been planned locally. It is also a great time to pray onsite at local Planned Parenthood facilities. The prayer consecrating the fight to Our Lady and the prayer at the Planned Parenthood facility can be downloaded from our website free of charge.

Our Lady will deliver the victory. In this Year of Faith, we must redouble our resolve to keep Our Lady front and center in the fight against Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood loses five more centers as affiliate leaves the fold

Planned Parenthood of South Central New York (PPSCNY) announced last week it is disaffiliating from Planned Parenthood because of the mandate by Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) that all affiliates must offer abortions in at least one location by 2013. The affiliate applied for a waiver from the abortion requirement on September 25, and PPFA denied the waiver the same day, showing just how dedicated the abortion giant is to forcing affiliates to actively participate in abortion.

The disaffiliation means that, effective March 1, 2013, Planned Parenthood Federation of America will lose five more facilities that are currently operated by PPSCNY: Binghamton, Walton, Sidney, Oneonta, and Norwich.

The PPSCNY 2011 annual report shows that a full 63 percent of its $3.4 million budget comes from taxpayer dollars—through government grants and Medicaid reimbursement.

PPSCNY joins the former Planned Parenthood of Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle, Planned Parenthood of South Texas in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Tri-Rivers Planned Parenthood in Missouri, all of which disaffiliated from the abortion giant citing a desire for autonomy in the face of nationwide standardization of the Planned Parenthood brand.

Even though the affiliate states that it remains committed to ensuring abortion access and that business will proceed as usual, it is always good news when affiliates leave the Planned Parenthood fold, since it weakens both the federation and the affiliate group, which no longer has access to dramatically discounted pharmaceuticals, and becomes more vulnerable to closure as it stands alone.

Congratulations to those in the south central New York areas who continually bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary. We pray for the closure of these facilities as they struggle to survive outside the Planned Parenthood network.
