Planned Parenthood wants preschoolers to know mechanics of sexual intercourse

Planned Parenthood Federation of America has just announced a new insidious Internet presence referred to as “mobile interactive tools to help teens make healthy decisions.”

STOPP’s national director, Rita Diller, joined ALL’s Jim Sedlak on his Radio Maria “Armed for Battle” broadcast November 1 to warn about what lurks within the many webpages of this new “tool” for indoctrinating both children and parents.

“By ‘mobile interactive tools,’ Planned Parenthood means it is on its website so that kids can access this stuff from their smart phones or their computers when their parents aren’t looking,” Diller said. “And by ‘helping teens make healthy decisions,’ that’s Planned Parenthood speak for teaching kids to use condoms and birth control to avoid pregnancy at all cost, while having lots of fun with sex.”

“And while Planned Parenthood says that the ‘tools’ are focused on teens—which many of them are—much of it addresses younger children—elementary and even preschool,” she continued. “And what I found when I started looking through the website was absolutely shocking, even by Planned Parenthood’s standards.”

On the Tools for Parents page of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America website are specific answers to questions that Planned Parenthood says preschoolers ask about sex.

It is here that Planned Parenthood coaches parents on exactly how to respond to preschoolers whom they say are asking questions about sex. advises parents that when a preschooler asks, “How do babies get in your tummy?” that parents answer in graphic detail, naming the anatomical parts of the body involved and the mechanics of sexual intercourse.

PPFA then suggests to parents that they respond to a little boy who asks why his private body parts are different from his mother’s by describing his outer genitalia and hers using anatomical names.

“This is some horrifying stuff,” Diller said. “These are preschoolers. This is the sex education Planned Parenthood wants them to have—is fighting for them to have.”

Jim Sedlak followed up with the scientific facts about how early sex education harms children by disturbing their sexual latency period or, as the Church says, violating the age of innocence.

The broadcast of the entire interview is online at

The Planned Parenthood website also features videos of very young children who were obviously coached to ask a series of questions that were well beyond what children their age would be thinking about normally or even aware of for the most part—even involving a little bitty girl shouting out really inappropriate questions. This little girl is three or four years old. And Planned Parenthood continues to exploit her.

As usual, Planned Parenthood gives terrible advice about how to answer children’s questions, making parents look like babbling idiots—except when they answer a young teen girl asking for birth control with “No, No, No, No, No!” This is the right answer, after all, and should be expanded on, but according to Planned Parenthood it is a babbling idiot answer.

All of this takes us to the heart of Planned Parenthood’s sex education philosophy.

The theme that runs throughout PP sex ed—the message kids are getting loud and clear—is that babies are the enemy—something that falls out of the sky and ruins everything. This was the explanation given by ex-atheist turned Catholic, Jennifer Fulwiler, in a National Catholic Register blog post based on what she learned in sex education and from society.

Students come to understand, through their indoctrination, that sex is a right for all and is green-lighted as long as the young people protect themselves against the two enemies of sex—STDs and babies.

This kind of sex indoctrination leads directly to the abortion mill for young people who are bombarded with this message from their earliest years. According to Fulwiler, because of years of indoctrination in Planned Parenthood-style sex education, she and her friends would have done anything to get rid of an unplanned baby—deprived as they were of the beautiful teaching of the Catholic Church on the truth and meaning of human sexuality.

This culture must be converted. But it won’t be converted until we stop government-funded, Planned Parenthood-sanctioned, so-called “comprehensive, evidence-based” sex education.

Stopping Planned Parenthood sex education is a very doable task. Parents have been successful on many fronts in rooting it out of the schools.

Here is a list of resources parents need to have at their fingertips to fight Planned Parenthood-style “comprehensive sex education”:

Action alert: Stand for the First Amendment rights of Oregon teacher bullied by Planned Parenthood

If good people do nothing, Planned Parenthood may well trump the civil rights of an exemplary public employee. That’s why we are encouraging Oregon parents and friends of life to be present at a hearing on November 14 to stand up for the civil rights of pro-life teacher Bill Diss and his heroic efforts to protect his community and students against Planned Parenthood sex indoctrination.

As we reported in March, the exemplary math and computer science teacher was unjustly escorted out of Benson High School by police, following a protracted battle with school officials over his pro-life work in the Portland community and speaking up against the presence of Planned Parenthood in his school.

Mr. Diss was notified that he was being placed immediately on administrative leave “pending a recommendation to the superintendent that you be dismissed from your employment with Portland public schools for reasons that have been discussed with you.” Mr. Diss told STOPP that he was given only a few minutes to gather his belongings before police escorted him out. He was ordered not to return to the Portland, Oregon, school where he has taught for 11 years.

Mr. Diss is an outstanding teacher who recently was awarded certification and recognition as the only teacher in Oregon who is qualified to teach college level computer science to high school students for dual credit. He has taught at the college and high school level for a total of 18 years.

Planned Parenthood has been in pursuit of Mr. Diss since 2007 when he began organizing efforts to stop Planned Parenthood. A STOPP press release from February of 2009 noted that Planned Parenthood of Columbia Willamette wanted Bill Diss’ teaching license revoked. The press release quoted ALL’s Jim Sedlak: “Bill has organized one of the most effective efforts against Planned Parenthood in the country. . . . It’s no surprise Planned Parenthood will resort to anything—even going after his teaching license—in order to silence him.” The news release notes and tracks Planned Parenthood’s use of strong-arm tactics against those who stand between it and implementation of its agenda.

You can read our full prior coverage regarding Planned Parenthood’s pursuit of Mr. Diss on our website.

The attorney representing Mr. Diss states that it is imperative that local families come to the upcoming hearing in support of the civil rights of Mr. Diss. She believes that he is being persecuted for his religious beliefs. The hearing will be conducted at the headquarters of Portland public schools at 501 N. Dixon Street in Portland, Oregon, beginning at 4 p.m. on November 14. Mr. Diss told STOPP in an e-mail:

The hearing is divided into two parts: The first part is at 4:00 p.m., when the district will have an hour to bring charges against me for misconduct and being unfit to teach.

[During] the second hour from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., we get an opportunity to respond to the charges. I am asking all to pray and I would cherish your presence the second hour or for the entire hearing. Please bring your families. I think it is important that the school attorney and board members understand the importance of families and children. The press will also be there and I suspect many supporters of Planned Parenthood will be there.

Please pray and please come if you are able. Please ask fellow church members, friends, and neighbors to also come. I think the district needs to be shown in a loving but powerful way that the public does care about the public schools and expects schools to follow the Constitution of our country by allowing teachers the freedom of speech and religion. Teachers should not be persecuted for their beliefs.

We cannot let Mr. Diss face these charges alone. If you are in the Portland, Oregon, area, please attend the hearing. All people of good will should contact the Portland superintendent of schools, Carole Smith, at 503-916-2000. Let her know that outstanding teachers like Bill Diss are rare, that religious persecution must not be tolerated, that the ridiculous charges should be dismissed, and that Mr. Diss should be restored to his teaching position among the students for whom he cares so deeply.

'Culture of Life' high school collaborates with 40 Days for Life and other national pro-life organizations

The student body from St. Michael the Archangel High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia, recently joined David Bereit, national director of 40 Days for Life, in praying at the 40 Days for Life vigil at Planned Parenthood in Manassas, proclaiming that St. Michael the Archangel High School is pro-life! Also on deck to address the students were Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America; Mike Baldwin, Manassas 40 Days for Life director; Pat Lohman, AAA Women for Choice Christian Pregnancy Center; and Missy Martinez, high school coordinator of Students for Life of America.

Several of the students spoke on camera at the prayer vigil, stressing the importance of young people stepping up to lead this battle against the forces of death. Their comments at the prayer vigil underscore their commitment: “We are standing up for mothers and babies.” “As far as abortion is concerned, it’s killing little babies. That’s where it starts.” “The world has lost hope that life can bring great things, and that’s why people go to abortion, because they feel like their child’s life won’t achieve anything worth living. And I disagree with that. Life is worth living and every child can bring something new and beautiful to the world.” “The younger generation does care about what our future is. We do care about all the babies being aborted.”

Being in the Washington, D.C., area, some of the St. Michael students are children and grandchildren of national pro-life leaders like David Bereit and American Life League’s Judie Brown. The students spoke about the profound influence these leaders have been in their lives.

St. Michael the Archangel High School is an independent school steeped in Catholic tradition and values. The school is a project of American Life League. It is there that ALL’s Culture of Life Curriculum is being developed and implemented. It stands as a model for other high schools across the nation. Because of the firm grasp that the students have on the sanctity of the continuum of life of the human person from the very moment of creation, they very clearly articulated why there is such a need to pray and witness for life on-site at Planned Parenthood, as they held signs outside the Manassas center.

St. Michael High School board member Hugh Brown elaborated on the mission of the school in a 2011 article in Celebrate Life Magazine.

The mission of SMHS is to prepare each student to lead an exemplary Christian life through the development of his or her full academic, spiritual, moral, artistic, and athletic potential. We are dedicated to building a culture of life by educating “warriors” who will engage the culture of death and stand firm in the truth—regardless of the cost.

Every subject taught at SMHS embraces the principles of Pope John Paul II’s encyclical Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life).

For more information about some of the ways The Gospel of Life is inculcated across the curriculum, read the Celebrate Life Magazine story at

Congratulations to the students at St. Michael the Archangel for stepping out into the community to bring The Gospel of Life to the doors of Planned Parenthood!

Rural Kansas Catholic high school shouts out to the nation: Bring Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary

They’re back! While there may or may not be a nearby mountaintop from which to shout, somewhere in rural Kansas, in a town known as Beloit—home to some 4,000 souls—the students at St. John’s Catholic High School are looking for every opportunity to broadcast a shout-out that will touch hearts across the nation. They want to see Planned Parenthood shut down, and they want to challenge other schools to join in the sacrifice and the joy of stepping out of their comfort zone to confront abortion at the doors of the killing chambers. They are bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary, and they want other students to do the same—wherever they may be in this nation.

Last year we relayed to you the saga of the intrepid group that travels three hours to pray at the doors of the abortion facility. After prayers, they drive another three hours to return to Beloit. It’s all in a day’s work—of mercy, that is.

The St. John’s students have made this annual trek five times. After a three-hour drive, they spend an hour and a half on the sidewalk at the abortion facility praying and singing. They pray for those who persecute them, as well as for the women who have scheduled abortions that day. “Once the students were out there, three or four feet from the girls coming in to have abortions, begging them not to go in, it made it so much more real,” theology teacher Andrew Niewald told STOPP in an interview last November.

“We could take the students to the World War II museum, let them see the memorabilia behind glass doors, but that does not have the same impact as taking them to the front lines,” Andrew said. “We take them, instead, to the battle lines, and the conviction they walk away with is tremendous.”

While the students get much encouragement from passersby, they also endure a large dose of disrespect from others who “drop the F-bomb” and “flip them off.” Enduring such persecution and exercising the self control necessary to pray in these situations rather than responding in a like manner builds the character and strength they will need to stand up for their beliefs in the future, especially as they enter a university where a student may find himself the only person willing to take a stand for truth when a professor attempts to sway him away from his well-informed beliefs.

On Friday, December 6, the St. John’s students are asking all Catholic students across the nation to take a field trip to the nearest abortion facility to stand in peaceful, prayerful protest.

You can stay up to date with the students at St. John’s and their efforts to expand their outreach via their Facebook page, Catholic School Life Rally 2013. If your school is planning a similar event, you are encouraged to touch base with them via the Facebook page.

Congratulations to the students and staff at St. John’s Catholic School for putting their faith in action by Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary, and saving lives and souls along the way.

Lubbock Planned Parenthood closes permanently; other Texas facilities temporarily cease abortions

As of November 1, Planned Parenthood has closed its doors in Lubbock, Texas. Its two centers are being transferred to another non-profit organization. One of the PP centers was a surgical abortion facility. According to a Lubbock news article, no money exchanged hands, but the assets of Planned Parenthood are being transferred to Generation Healthcare, a nonprofit that does not commit abortions.

STOPP had anticipated the Lubbock Planned Parenthood closures because of poor financial performance. quoted a Generation Healthcare statement saying:

Generation Healthcare, a division of Generation Covenant, announced they will begin providing comprehensive health services to women across the South Plains. The announcement comes on the heels of the Lubbock-based nonprofit group’s recent acquisition of two properties formerly owned by Planned Parenthood.

“Our mission is to make certain that preventive screenings and routine healthcare services are available to all women,” said Generation Healthcare CEO Merinda K. Condra.

“It is so important for every woman to be proactive about her health. In order to serve as many women as possible we will be accepting Texas Women Health Coverage in the coming days,” said Condra.

Generation Healthcare, located at #14 Briercroft Office Park, is currently undergoing renovation and is scheduled to be serving patients three days a week effective immediately. Services include breast and cervical cancer screening, diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure screening, contraception, and an on-site women’s counselor. Within six months, the clinic plans to expand its operations to five days a week, with evening and select Saturday hours, in addition to expanding its services to include prenatal care.

Plans are underway to begin renovating the property located at 3302 67th Street [the former surgical abortion center] to allow the space to be used for future community outreach and educational services.

Generation Healthcare is not affiliated with Planned Parenthood, its parent company, or any subsidiary.

Planned Parenthood had claimed as a part of its lawsuit against Texas attorney general Greg Abbott and others seeking to nullify Texas’ new abortion restrictions, that: “If allowed to take effect on October 29, the admitting privileges requirement will force over one-third of the state’s approximately thirty-six licensed facilities where abortions [are] performed to stop providing those services, thereby dramatically reducing abortion access throughout the state. It will cause the sole abortion facilities in Lubbock, Waco, Killeen, Harlingen, and McAllen to cease providing abortions and all three providers in Fort Worth [to] stop, thereby completely eliminating abortion services in those cities and forcing women—especially those in west Texas—to travel enormous distances in order to access abortion services, which will prevent some women from obtaining an abortion.”

However, the deal to transfer assets from the Lubbock Planned Parenthood facility to Generation Healthcare seems to have been well underway before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on October 31 that the requirement for abortionists to have admitting privileges at a hospital within a 30 mile radius of the abortion facility would stand, pending a January hearing.

Other facilities around the state that have reportedly ceased committing abortions, at least temporarily, include Planned Parenthood facilities in Austin, Waco, Fort Worth, Stafford, and two in San Antonio. Operation Rescue reports that, as of November 5, it has confirmed that facilities in Austin, Fort Worth, and Waco—in addition to the Lubbock facility—have ceased committing abortions. OR has confirmed that a total of 16 Texas facilities have ceased abortions for the time being.
