Another Texas showdown on the horizon: Will a federal court overturn the massive victories against abortion in Texas?

It was a year ago that the Texas capitol building was the scene of an abortion mob frenzy, the likes of which has never been seen. Planned Parenthood’s paid henchmen were intent on inciting its followers to make so much noise that HB 2 would not pass. Their demonically impelled screeches and antics made it impossible for the bill to reach a vote. They knew what was at stake. They knew that if the bill passed, they would lose a tremendous amount of government funding. They also knew that they would have to spend a good deal of money upgrading their facilities or lose the dominion they have had for many years over the preborn babies of the Lone Star state.

But the demonic roar only succeeded in delaying the vote. In a subsequent special session of the Texas legislature, HB 2 passed. Much funding was stripped from the abortion giant and its allies in the abortion industry. And the doors of abortion facilities began to close. Our cries to defund Planned Parenthood to bring about its demise were realized to a great extent in the Lone Star state.

According to the Texas Tribune, in August 2013 there were 40 licensed abortion facilities operating in Texas. By March 2014, 28 licensed facilities remained. Texas pro-life leaders say that today only 16 facilities are currently committing abortions. On September 1, the portion of the law requiring that abortions take place in ambulatory surgical facilities will go into effect. On that date, the number of abortion facilities authorized to do business in Texas will drop to six.

Unless a federal judge overturns the ruling. And that is what the Texas abortion industry is banking on. On August 4, an Austin, Texas, federal court will hear arguments in Whole Women’s Health et al. v. Lakey. The lawsuit was brought by abortionists and abortion corporations in Texas challenging the ambulatory surgical center requirements of HB 2. Two of the plaintiffs are also seeking immunity from the hospital admitting requirements provision of the law.

In the complaint, Whole Women’s Health in McAllen admits that it has committed over 14,000 abortions over the past 10 years. Reproductive Services admits that it has committed over 17,000 abortions over the same time frame in El Paso. Such carnage boasted about and tallied on their bloody calculators—the same ones that calculate the fat bank deposits that result from dismembering live human beings.

Just as the dust boiled and obliterated the Texas horizon last July, it is sure to re-emerge as the Texas federal court decides Whole Women’s Health v. Lakey, and consequently whether thousands of innocent children will live or die. We consecrate this court battle to Our Lady and pray with all our hearts that the suit is not successful and that all Texas abortion facilities will shut down soon, including the six that are expected to weather the impact of HB 2.

Sex ed mogul SIECUS outrageous 'Come for a Cause' fundraiser

Where to start to describe something so utterly horrifying? SIECUS, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States, has partnered with Babeland, a sex store, in a scheme to raise money for sex education.

Babeland’s webpage features an article entitled “Come for a Cause: Sex Education.” It is illustrated by a picture of a smiling middle-aged woman holding an array of dildos. Here is the message from SIECUS board member Claire Cavanah:

I’m excited to tell you about Babeland’s latest Come for a Cause partner, the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) currently celebrating its 50th anniversary.

That’s right, SIECUS has kept sex ed in the national conversation for fifty years! That means many of you were impacted in some way by their efforts. We’d like to ask you to “pay it forward” to the next generation, by giving Moregasm (perfect for those beginning their sexual journey) as a gift to a young person. For every Moregasm book and Moregasm Kit we sell during 2014, we will donate 10% to SIECUS. So whether it’s a graduation present or a quiet contribution to a student’s library, consider that what you are really giving is the gift of knowledge and sexual health.

I’m passionate about this not just as a parent and an activist, but because I became a board member of SIECUS last year and I believe in their work. SIECUS is the strongest national voice in support of reality-based sex education, helping teachers and administrators create comprehensive sex ed curricula, and supporting policy-makers’ attempts to build support for sexuality education in their communities.

Knowledge is sexy! Support SIECUS and pay it forward to the next generation with a gift of Moregasm.

Peace and Pleasure,
Claire Cavanah

The Moregasm book is subtitled Babeland’s Guide to Mindblowing Sex. It is touted as a gift for those “beginning their sexual journey,” or something you can quietly sneak into children’s libraries. The $250 Moregasm kit contains an array of Babeland’s sex toys and promises that if you buy it for yourself you may never leave your bedroom again. The website contains other items used for bondage sex, like a silicone ball gag, vibrating nipple clamps, leather and ice whip, under the bed restraints, Babeland bondage tape, and “bondage in a bag.”

And here is the really terrifying part of the story. SIECUS—now a partner with Babeland—is very influential in today’s comprehensive sex education. It is a partner with two other organizations in the Future of Sex Education (FoSE) initiative, which authored the National Sexuality Education Standards. Planned Parenthood claims that the standards “provide clear and consistent guidance on the essential minimum core content for sexuality education that is developmentally and age-appropriate for students.” All three FoSE initiative partners are intricately intertwined with Planned Parenthood. In addition, Planned Parenthood leaders are on the advisory committee for the standards and among the additional reviewers of the FoSE national standards. And the owner of Babeland is on the board of directors of SIECUS.

SIECUS was launched in 1964 by the Kinsey Institute to teach the Kinsey philosophy of sex education in American schools. Dr. Mary Calderone, a former medical director at Planned Parenthood, was the first director of SIECUS.

Dr. Alfred Kinsey authored the “Kinsey Reports” in 1948 and 1953, which were the basis for a sexual revolution that promoted and sanctioned promiscuity, pornography, and homosexuality. Kinsey’s research was disproportionally based on surveys of prison inmates, sex offenders, and prostitutes, and relied on the serial sexual abuse of very young children and infants.

Parents, take note. SIECUS is exerting tremendous influence on your child’s classroom sex education, along with Planned Parenthood and its other allies. It is imperative that parents organize and oppose all classroom sex education. Read Jim Sedlak’s Parent Power!!, free for downloading on our website. We will be glad to provide help with a proven, successful strategy for taking back your child’s school. Contact [email protected] to bring Jim Sedlak or Rita Diller to your community to help organize against Planned Parenthood/SIECUS sex ed. The future of our society hinges on getting and keeping Planned Parenthood and its network away from our children.

Planned Parenthood gives award for exceeding abortion quotas

Planned Parenthood executive turned pro-life advocate Abby Johnson has revealed another piece of information proving that Planned Parenthood does have abortion quotas and rewards associates for surpassing those goals.

Hat tip to Abby for sharing this information and pictorial evidence with us.

Ever since I left Planned Parenthood, I have been talking about the abortion quotas that are established inside abortion facilities. Many abortion supporters refused to believe it, citing that surely Planned Parenthood wants abortion to be safe, legal and RARE. If they want something to be RARE, they certainly wouldn’t have quotas, right?

We recently had a clinic worker leave the affiliate, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. This affiliate runs the second largest Planned Parenthood facility in the U.S. At this clinic in Denver, they give out various awards to their satellite clinics and post these awards on a bulletin board for everyone to see.

When our former worker saw this award on public display, it really started to change her thinking about Planned Parenthood’s motivation. This award was given to their Aurora clinic for “exceeding abortion visits first half of fiscal year 2012 compared to first half of fiscal year 2013.”

This means that the Aurora Planned Parenthood exceeded the abortion quota that was imposed on them. And THAT is award worthy according to Planned Parenthood.

STOPP assists San Antonio leaders in organizing against $5 million Planned Parenthood facility

Planned Parenthood says it has broken ground on a new five million dollar ambulatory surgical center in San Antonio. Though ground has been broken, the location of the facility still has not been disclosed. Operating in stealth mode, Planned Parenthood will attempt to get its contractors onto the site with no interruption from those who oppose the building of a child-killing facility in their community.

STOPP national director Rita Diller met with San Antonio leaders from a panoply of pro-woman, pro-family, pro-life groups last week to begin formation of a coalition that intends to erect a solid wall of opposition against the building of the facility, while educating the community about Planned Parenthood’s murderous, racist agenda in San Antonio. The goal is to get Planned Parenthood out of San Antonio. Among those working with the diverse coalition is Bishop Emeritus John W. Yanta. Bishop Yanta led the charge against Planned Parenthood in the Amarillo area that ended in the closure of 17 Planned Parenthood facilities and the disaffiliation of the remaining two. Diller worked alongside Bishop Yanta in that endeavor as the Respect Life Director for the diocese during Yanta’s tenure there.

Early organization is key to stopping Planned Parenthood’s expansion. If you are aware of a proposed Planned Parenthood facility in your community, or if you feel that you will never be able to eliminate the abortion giant’s presence in your hometown, we would love to help you form a coalition and provide statistics and proven successful strategies in eliminating Planned Parenthood’s toxic presence in your community. CNN photo is a testament to the centrality of public expression of faith in the battle against Planned Parenthood

A phenomenal picture took center stage in mainstream media coverage of the Hobby Lobby decision at the Supreme Court on Monday. American Life League’s Michael Hichborn knelt in prayer, clutching his rosary, while surrounded by many others opposing the contraceptive mandate who were standing and holding signs. The picture highlighted the story about the Supreme Court decision in favor of Hobby Lobby on CNN.com and Time.com. Why?

Michael was one among many. His humility and open appeal to Our Lady speaks volumes about the centrality and importance of our faith in this battle against evil. American Life League is a Catholic, grassroots organization. Our open declaration of faith and devotion to Our Lady is central and public in our work to build a culture of life. This man’s humility before the Queen of Heaven was a sign that contradicted and inspired.

We Catholics can be our own worst enemies when we hide our faith for fear of alienating non-Catholics. In reality, a bold proclamation of our faith inspires those of other faiths and those with dormant faith.

The presence of our Catholic priests, women religious in habits, Knights of Columbus in Fourth Degree regalia, Eucharistic processions and exposition, praying the rosary—all these things bring unity, not division, to the pro-life movement. I speak from the backdrop of many years of success in fighting Planned Parenthood with Our Lady front and center—many of those in the midst of a Catholic mission diocese planted smack dab in the Bible Belt.

Whether in Washington, DC, or in small-town Texas, I can’t count the number of non-Catholics who have approached me on the street in front of Planned Parenthood and asked me to teach them to pray the rosary. Many have shared their admiration for the Catholic Church and its leadership in fighting Planned Parenthood and the abortion culture we struggle against. In fact, in the Amarillo Diocese, we found after a few years of activism against Planned Parenthood that most people thought Catholics were in the majority because of our very public witness. In reality, we were a tiny minority of the overall faith community.

Our campaign brought communities together in opposition to Planned Parenthood. When we were accused by Planned Parenthood of being violent nuts who were trying to force our religion on others and deprive women of healthcare, non-Catholics came to our rescue saying they had seen us on the sidewalk praying on our knees—praying through rain, snow, gale force winds, and all nature could dish out—and we were never anything but peaceful and prayerful. It was our Catholic presence with all its symbolism and the palpable peace our efforts brought; it was our public consecration of the battle against Planned Parenthood to Our Lady; it was the humility of those on their knees with rosaries clutched praying for hours on concrete and pavement throughout the storms; and it was proclaiming the truth in charity in and out of season that brought the admiration and unity of the community and the demise of Planned Parenthood.

Our Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary campaign fully embodies all of these realities. It is the direct route to stopping Planned Parenthood.

Only abortion facility in Western North Carolina closes; Planned Parenthood moves in

Always the opportunist, Planned Parenthood is working to open a surgical abortion facility in Asheville, North Carolina, in the wake of the closure of the Femcare facility that closed last week. The abortion giant initially planned to open this summer, but has now delayed opening until at least December. Planned Parenthood says it has “worked closely” with the Femcare owner, abortionist Lorraine Cummings, whose facility was temporarily shut down last year for a plethora of serious safety violations.

Planned Parenthood is cited in a Citizen Times article saying that land has been purchased, but construction has yet to begin on the new surgical abortion facility. Planned Parenthood has refused to disclose the location.

Victory in Wisconsin: Pro-life prayer warriors give all the credit to Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary

It was all Queens when the pro-life community of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, gathered to give thanks for the upcoming closure of the Planned Parenthood facility that has been in operation for decades there.

The pictures we received show a lot of obviously elated people, several holding our signs imploring Our Lady to stop Planned Parenthood.

Those who have been on the sidewalk for years give all the credit to our Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary campaign for closing the facility. Here are some of the messages we received from them after the closure.

From Ann Fontecchio:

I would like you to let it be known that we believe the victory in Fond du Lac is directly connected to our campaign of “Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary.” We have been praying with the images of Our Lady and saying the prayers provided on the images for some time. Thanks to this initiative of ALL, 36 years of PP’s presence in our community has ended. Our Lady has answered our plea, “Please Stop Planned Parenthood.”

From Julie Petersen and Ann Fontecchio:

Praise God! This victory is so welcomed at this time when we need to be reminded of the power God has granted to our Blessed Mother to fight evil in the world using poor weak sinners who put their trust in her intercession.

In “Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary” in Fond du Lac, we can be confident that the prayers offered at the many vigils held in front of the PP facility in Fond du Lac, and the rosaries prayed before the 8:00 a.m. Masses at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday mornings, were heard by our Blessed Mother and taken before her Son with great care.

You are encouraged to read the Consecration prayer for this campaign as a reminder of the power granted to Mary, which she uses to conquer evil.

Prayer warriors often included this consecration prayer at the PP vigils in Fond du Lac: http://www.stopp.org/article.php?id=7034.

The vigils will continue to be held in front of Planned Parenthood in Fond du Lac on Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. until the official closing in September.

Congratulations to all those in Fond du Lac who have labored with love on the sidewalks outside Planned Parenthood for many years, and for your faith in the knowledge that Our Lady will stop Planned Parenthood. We look forward to many more closures of Planned Parenthood facilities where Our Lady is placed front and center to lead the battle.
