Planned Parenthood Steals Souls

By Jim Sedlak

A great deal of emphasis is placed on Planned Parenthood’s abortion business. The organization operates the largest abortion chain in the nation. It owns over 51 percent of the nation’s abortion facilities, kills over 300,000 preborn human beings every year, and has ended the lives of over 8,000,000 babies in its own facilities.

There is, however, another side of Planned Parenthood’s operations that should generate an equal amount of outrage. This is the organization’s dedication to the “uninhibited sex” philosophy of its founder, Margaret Sanger. The purpose of this article is to look at PP’s dedication to getting young people involved in a sexual lifestyle and lead them into lives of sexual sin.

There’s no question that, as an organization, Planned Parenthood considers sexual activity between unmarried young people to be a good thing—and that society as a whole should adopt this mindset.

Planned Parenthood has a success story. That success is in Europe—especially in France, Germany, and the Netherlands. Planned Parenthood was so excited at what was happening in Europe that it sent a team of people from the state of Oregon to Europe to study what its affiliates had done there to successfully achieve the organization’s goals. The result of that study was documented in the 2002 PP document, We Can Do Better: Oregon Team Report on Western Europe’s Successful Approaches to Adolescent Sexuality.

The basic take-away from that report was: “success doesn’t really rest on programs and services alone. It is the societal thinking—the norms—that make the Dutch, German and French successes possible. It is the openness and the acceptance that young people will have intimate sexual relationships without being married and that these relationships are natural and contribute to maturing into a sexually healthy adult.”

Planned Parenthood continually fightsagainst abstinence-only sex education programs and fights for programs that further its philosophy. This philosophy is illustrated in a sex education book for children age 10 and older that Planned Parenthood pushes nationally at every opportunity, and has even given away free to young people at its conferences. The book is titled It’s Perfectly Normal, by Robie Harris. The title tells the story.

Planned Parenthood’s programs push young people into accepting the idea that sex is a recreational activity to be pursued whenever you feel you are ready. This acceptance of sexual sin is very dangerous for our young people. We must remember that the Apostle Paul tells us, “Avoid immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the immoral person sins against his own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18)

As Planned Parenthood’s philosophy reaches more and more of our young people, it will result in declining church attendance, and—more importantly—lost souls.

That last sentence may sound like an exaggeration, but Planned Parenthood documents this effect in that same 2002 report. Planned Parenthood reveals:

  • The level of participation of youth ages 15-19 has steadily declined in the Dutch Reformed Church and the Dutch Catholic Church in the last 30 years, from 60% in 1965 to 9% in 1993.
  • France is about 90% Catholic, but like Germany and the Netherlands, church participation has drastically declined from a high of 80% in the 1960s to between 4% and 7% after 1980.
  • In France, the Catholic leadership, in recognizing the loss of members, has acknowledged that it cannot and should not dictate its members’ decisions over sexuality-related matters.

Of course, this decline in church attendance is not a surprise. All churches teach that sexual activity between unmarried minors is not acceptable. Young people do not want to go to church and be told their lifestyle is wrong—so they stay away.

If you have a Planned Parenthood presence in your community, or you hear Planned Parenthood wants to come to your community, you must fight against the organization. The souls of your children are in danger.

Planned Parenthood sex indoctrination running rampant in California

The Daily Caller broke a story this past weekend about the mandated sexuality education program in California and how Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union are working together to subvert parents’ rights and harm our children. The article, ACLU Told CA Teachers To Help Students Obtain Abortions Without Parental Notification, Video Reveals, documents with undercover videos what is going on behind the scenes in California.

Based on several meetings, it appears what is foremost in the minds of Planned Parenthood and ACLU operatives is to get students to abortion facilities during school hours without their parents knowing anything. They seemed particularly concerned that if students were away from school for the abortion procedure that the teacher for any class they missed would report that the student was “absent” from the class. That would then automatically trigger a phone call to the parents, informing them that their child had missed one or more classes. The “solution” that was given to teachers was to report that the child had an “excused absence.” That would not trigger any call.

The situation in California is very fluid and confusing because that is the way Planned Parenthood and its cronies want it to be. The more confused parents are, the more PP can push its agenda. Let’s look at some of the intentional confusion.

  1. The California legislature passed the California Healthy Youth Act 2016 (California Education Code [EC] sections 51930–51939)
  2. The California Department of Education, based on the 2016 Act, is updating its Health Education Framework to “provide guidance to educators, parents, and publishers, to support implementing California content standards.”
    1. The revisions to that guidance document have been published, reviewed by the public, and revised again and again. The “final” revision was approved by the California Board of Education in May 2019.
    2. However, if you go on the DOE website to read the latest document, you are met with a statement that says: “The chapters posted on this web page do not reflect the State Board of Education revisions. The final version of the Health Education Framework will be available Fall 2019.” (The red color is on the original page.)
    3. Thus, as a parent, you can’t even read the Framework for the fall school session until the fall!
  3. In the meantime, Planned Parenthood and others are holding training sessions with teachers on how to implement the coming changes and, it seems clear, instead of sticking to the subject of what will be taught, the teachers are inundated with discussions on how they can cooperate in allowing children to get abortions without their parents knowing about it.

We, at STOPP, are headquartered in Virginia. We do considerable work in California fighting Planned Parenthood and its expansion plans. As we find out about problems such as the ones discussed here, we can alert you to them. We encourage all of our readers in California to become involved with local groups who are monitoring and trying to sort out the confusion within the state education structure. The group who brought to light the current issue of helping kids to get abortions is called Our Watch. Please get in touch with them or similar groups to keep up to date on the latest problems within the state education establishment.

A final note, as we were researching this article, we became aware of an increasing demand for home schooling in California. As the education establishment in the state is succumbing more and more to the radical demands of Planned Parenthood, it is beginning to look like a viable and necessary option for more and more families.

Planned Parenthood closing/moving Fayetteville, AR, abortion facility

The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported this week that Planned Parenthood Great Plains will be closing its current Fayetteville (AR) abortion facility at the end of this month. Brandon Hill, chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood Great Plains, reportedly cited "increasing problems with our landlord." Although Planned Parenthood is claiming it was the one who decided against renewing the lease, local pro-lifers in Fayetteville tell STOPP that the landlord is happy to see them go. The current lease expires at the end of this month.

Hill was particularly upset about the presence of protestors in the immediate vicinity of the facility and the fact that a pregnancy resource center mobile van was allowed to park in a lot next to the one used by the Planned Parenthood clinic.

Hill told the newspaper: "Our staff is diligently working to find a new location for the health center in Northwest Arkansas so that we can restart providing services (including abortion) as quickly as possible."

In a tip-of-the-hat to effective pro-life efforts in Arkansas, Hill said: "We had previously hoped to restart providing services in a new location with little or no disruption in access to patients.” However, he said, the right spot has been difficult to find, "in part because some landlords are unwilling to rent to Planned Parenthood in light of the ongoing high-profile disputes over abortion."

Planned Parenthood is determined to open a new killing center in Northwest Arkansas, but for now the Fayetteville clinic has already stopped doing abortions. Clearly, numerous lives will be saved as Planned Parenthood Great Plains searches for a new site.

Congratulations to NWA Respect Life, Fayetteville 40 Days for Life, the Loving Choices Pregnancy Center, and all the dedicated pro-lifers in the Fayetteville, Arkansas, area, who have been fighting this Planned Parenthood killing center for seven years! Your tenacity is being rewarded.

Fighting Planned Parenthood in Utah

As we identified in our 2018 Planned Parenthood Facilities Report, the Planned Parenthood Association of Utah currently operates eight clinics in the state. One of those clinics, the Metro Health Center in Salt Lake City, commits Medication and Surgical abortions. The other seven distribute abortifacient birth control products and refer to the Metro center for abortions. Utah state statistics show that there are 2,900 to 3,000 abortions a year in the state. Pro-lifers estimate that about 2,000 of these abortions are done at the Planned Parenthood Metro facility.

Within the last month, a new group held their first public event at the state capital in Utah. The group is Abortion-Free Utah. The exciting mission statement of the group is:

ABORTION-FREE UTAH CAMPAIGN MISSION STATEMENT: Utah has a long history of valuing children and working to strengthen families. As such, we Utah citizens from all backgrounds have come together to create a new, powerful life-valuing movement in our state. We believe that Utah should be the safest and most supportive place to bring children into this world.

Scientifically, a new human life begins at conception. Thus, we support the God-given right to life of all unborn human beings and decry all elective abortion that would end that human life in its most vulnerable stages.

We seek to educate and embolden citizens to stand up for the unborn and build up life-affirming resources and support systems in their communities. Women, children, families and our society deserve better than abortion.

Whereas Planned Parenthood performs the vast majority of all elective abortions in Utah, the United States and the world, we earnestly seek to stop the work of Planned Parenthood of Utah and rid our state of the harmful and life-devaluing effects they have brought to our state with their presence and practices.

At the event, Merrilee Boyack, chairwoman of Abortion-Free Utah, told the crowd: "We are inviting the Planned Parenthood Association of Utah to leave the state of Utah."

Bravo!

We are excited to welcome this new group into the battle against Planned Parenthood. Its website makes it clear that it not only wants to stop Planned Parenthood’s abortion business but recognizes the harm done by Planned Parenthood sexuality indoctrination programs. Abortion-Free Utah says on their website: “not only does Planned Parenthood target unborn children, they also have their sights set on all children (who they claim are “sexual from birth”) … they also have supported efforts to bring comprehensive sexuality education to the state's children. Planned Parenthood of Utah also works to gain access to children through libraries throughout the state, after-school programs, and other programs. They work to further their agenda by reaching and indoctrinating Utah children.”

We encourage all of our supporters in Utah and neighboring states to join with Abortion-Free Utah to get rid of the Planned Parenthood Association of Utah and all other abortionists in the state.
