ALL begins new movement against Planned Parenthood

In a webcast on the Feast of the Holy Rosary (October 7), attended by hundreds of dedicated fighters against Planned Parenthood, American Life League president, Judie Brown, announced a new effort to be known as the Marian Blue Wave. The webcast is online and can be viewed by going to all.org/webcast.

Commenting on the new movement, Brown wrote the following day:

It’s amazing what a simple tweet can start. On January 26 of this year, Bishop Joseph Strickland of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas, tweeted that our country needed to work and pray for a Marian Blue wave. That one tweet sparked an idea, and that idea sparked a brand new campaign to end abortion once and for all. I am thrilled to announce the launch of American Life League’s newest campaign—the Marian Blue Wave.

Our goal is simple: End abortion, while closing down every Planned Parenthood facility in the United States, with the help of the Blessed Mother and her Son. We have spent the last 46 years waiting for laws and politicians to end the senseless murder of innocent preborn children, and what has changed? Absolutely nothing. Well, enough is enough!

We would be naive to ignore the fact that abortion goes much deeper than laws and politics. Abortion is a grave evil, and an evil of this magnitude requires the greatest spiritual weapon available to us: the Holy Rosary.

Over the past 10 years, ALL has helped shut down over 227 Planned Parenthood facilities with a method similar to the MBW. The difference is that the MBW will be nationwide.

Once a week, those who join the MBW will say a Rosary with the specific intention of ending abortion in the United States. No matter where you live, you can be a part of it.

When our participants commit to the MBW, a blue icon will appear over their city on our interactive map. With enough participants, a visible Marian Blue Wave will sweep the nation.

Let us not forget what Professor Charles Rice (a founding advisor of ALL) once wrote:

Our reliance here must be on the Rosary rather than the sledge hammer (and on other prayers as well, especially in ecumenical gatherings). The most effective technique would be to confront every abortion facility in the country with a continuous, peaceful Rosary vigil lawfully conducted on the public sidewalk, including the offering of pro-life literature and counseling to persons entering and leaving the premises. This would not involve any obstruction or interference with anybody. But it would dramatize the opposition of abortion to the law of God. And only through the grace of God will we succeed in removing this scourge from our land.

What would our nation be like if millions of Christians prayed the Rosary every day for an end to abortion? That is the Marian Blue Wave.

We invite you to watch the webcast and then go to our special map and see how people all across the United States are joining this new effort. While you’re there, please click the “Make Your Rosary Commitment” at the bottom of the page to join in this spiritual battle being waged to save lives.

Planned Parenthood chicanery in Missouri (and Illinois)

Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri (PPSLRSWMO) has been fighting a battle against the health department and legislators in Missouri for decades. The reason is simple to explain. Planned Parenthood wants to kill as many Missourians as possible and the state wants to protect its preborn. Last year, the state was able to stop abortions at all Planned Parenthood facilities except the one in St. Louis—known as Reproductive Health Services. Even though that facility is notorious for failing health inspections and causing harm to mothers, Planned Parenthood fought to keep it open, the Missouri Health Department refused to renew Planned Parenthood’s license to operate. That should have been the end, but...

Planned Parenthood filed lawsuits against the state and then went into the court asking that it be allowed to keep the facility open until its suit was concluded. After months of court maneuvers, this past June, St. Louis Circuit Judge Michael Stelzer removed the case from state courts and ordered that it be taken up with the Administrative Hearing Commission. That panel handles licensing disputes between state agencies, businesses and people. The AHC hearing on Planned Parenthood’s license was later set for August 1. Then, on July 2, the Administrative Hearing Commissioner, Sreenivasa Rao Dandamudi, tentatively rescheduled the hearing for the last week in October. Reproductive Health Services in St. Louis would remain open at least until then.

As frustrating as all this delay was, only a few people understood that it was all part of a secret plan by Planned Parenthood. We now know that, while all this was going on, in the fall of 2018, Planned Parenthood secretly began building a new abortion facility only 13 miles from Reproductive Health Services. This new 18,000 square foot mega abortion facility is in Illinois—thus being out of reach of Missouri law. Planned Parenthood created a separate Limited Liability Corporation and that entity bought a former medical facility at 317 Salem Place, Fairview Heights, Illinois, renovated it, and Planned Parenthood announced late last month that the facility would be up and running by the third week of October—a week before the planned AHC hearing in Missouri. In making the announcement, Planned Parenthood bragged that no one knew that this was a Planned Parenthood facility.

BAM! Planned Parenthood, even while insisting that committing abortions is not significant to it, spent millions of dollars on an Illinois abortuary to protect its baby-killing empire. And, while doing this, it suckered in a number of construction contractors who thought they were building something good—a medical facility to help people—and not realizing they were actually building a house of death. PPSLRSWMO chief medical officer, Colleen McNicholas, actually told reporters that PP needed to keep the real purpose of this facility secret to avoid protesters and to make it easier to get local contractors to work on the facility.

There is no telling how many pro-life and Christian contractors were traumatized this week as they found out the building they helped construct was going to be used to kill human beings. These adult victims of Planned Parenthood’s chicanery need our prayers as they come to grips with what they’ve unknowingly done.

Planned Parenthood Mega Abortion Centers--4 more this year

Last week, Planned Parenthood announced the opening of an 18,000 square foot abortion facility in Fairview Heights, Illinois. This is Planned Parenthood’s 29thmega abortion center and was built in secret—as was its second mega abortion center in Aurora, Illinois, in 2007. Planned Parenthood actually builds a number of its centers in secret to avoid public disapproval before it opens.

By our definition, a mega abortion center is one that is at least 10,000 square feet and kills preborn human beings through surgical and/or medical abortions. Planned Parenthood’s first mega abortion center was built in Austin, Texas, in 2004. Its largest is a 78,000 square foot former bank building that it bought in Houston, Texas, in 2010. It currently operates 29 such centers in 17 states, with the 30thscheduled to open in Birmingham (AL) before the end of the year. Planned Parenthood has also announced its plans to open at least two more in 2020—a 15,000 square foot facility at 1522 Bush Street in San Francisco (CA) and a 29,000 square foot facility at 1522 Lagoon Avenue in Minneapolis (MN). Since PP already operates a 46,000 square foot mega abortion center in St. Paul (MN), it seems clear that the Twin Cities are being targeted by the abortion giant.

Opening abortion mega centers was all the rage for Planned Parenthood in 2009-2011 but lost its popularity until this year. This increase could be caused by the polarization of states’ positions on abortion and may also be tied in to the “Planned Parenthood Experience” through which it is trying to upscale and beautify all of its clinics.

In any case, the growth of these mega abortion centers is not good for the babies and not good for our sons and daughters—as Planned Parenthood tries to sexualize them to fill the abortion quotas at these mega abortion centers.

Here is our current list of Planned Parenthood mega abortion centers, their size, and the year Planned Parenthood put them in service:

Bike for Life protest at Planned Parenthood and IVF lab

The Chicago Tribune reported on October 8 that a Bike for Life race started at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Aurora (IL) and ended with prayers at a Naperville fertility clinic on September 28, 2019. John Zabinski, founder of the bicycling event, which is organized by a local council of the Knights of Columbus, explained to reporters that “When you do IVF, you create a life, but how many lives does it take? When you get this life, what happens to the other babies?”

Participants in the event expressed concern for the fate of frozen embryos inside—particularly those that might be discarded, cryopreserved indefinitely or donated for research—as a result of in vitro fertilization.

The paper reported that “To Zabinski and his supporters, an embryo is just as worthy of protection as a fetus of any gestational age, based on the moral principle that life begins at conception (creation). He lamented that some anti-abortion leaders ignore or de-emphasize potential consequences of IVF.”

American Life League has always condemned IVF, contraception and abortion as they all result in the death of human beings created by God. We applaud the efforts of the Knights of Columbus, Mr. Zabinski and the Bike for Life participants to remind us that we must end the killing of all innocent human beings, from creation to death.

Let us all take to heart the following words lifted directly from the Chicago Tribune article:

Under gray skies and a light drizzle, about 16 participants formed a circle along the public right-of-way outside the brick (fertility clinic) building and prayed. “May the eyes of all people be transformed, that they may see each and every human life as a reflection of the glory of God himself.”

“They’re equally important,” Zabinski said. “No matter how microscopic and tiny they are, they are still human embryos. They are still alive, no matter how small they are.”
